    HI all,

    When you do a system restore to an earlier date, does that only effect the C drive?

    That would be correct. You're talking about a complete system restore? If you have a program installed to another drive it may need reinstalling.

    HI all,

    OS= Me
    D drive= cd-rom, no dvd drive

    I opened up a installation wizard to install software and format my external HD, and accidently told the wizard to install the files, registration, and certificates on the D drive... I just needed to know if the D drive needed to be formatted or I could just do a system restore... The idea is to get rid of the storagesync files that are on D drive.... Heck, I cannot even play a music cd as it freezes that right up... As per your answer, it looks like i'll have to format the D drive, and reload everything for it... It's just a little nerving as i've never formatted a drive before and have no idea what to expect... But, I am probably worried over nothing......

    edit: Will a complete system restore reset the date on the D drive too?

    I always unplug other drives just to make sure I am not deleting them. I am utterly confused by the info you have given.

    Me is a terrible operating system. I had it for a long time. Very unstable.

    Your D drive is a CD-Rom? You can't format a CD rom...

    that's hilarious....

    Yuck. What you need is a reformat and installation of XP.

    If it's just a CD-ROM drive, then just throw the disk in the trash... :)
