Gentlemen, I have really enjoyed viewing this thread. Thank you for keeping it going! Here are some pics I had in my hard drive. I'm sure many of you have seen a couple or maybe all of these pics before. I saved the following pics when the car was listed on Ebay a very long time ago. Bravo for sharing. I will always see the USA F40 as Ferrari's nod of respect (213 times...) to its premier market. I love the F40 and the car really is 'The Lion's Roar...' Joe www.joesackey.com

Joe: Recommend you contact Mr. McKay at Boston Sportscars re. F-40 development. His son, Darrin, tells me his father did some preliminary F-40 development work when his father with with FNA in the 1980s. He may have some information of interest.....
Thanks for the suggestion. Actually I was introduced to his dad Jim by a long-term Ferrari personality. Jim was directly involved hands-on with the development of the 2 USA F40 Homologation Prototypes in order to gain type-approval for the variant. He has some rare stories... and technical insight that is second-to-none. Joe www.joesackey.com

Wow. Is there another sportscar that so clearly spells out its purpose in its design? Thanks for posting... Joe www.joesackey.com
I know what you mean Joe. It's an incredible design. In that last pic, it looks like it doesnt even wanna stay at that event. It just NEEDS to go!
Harry, so I dont commit a faux pas, the list is being veified via Massini and I will be able to confirm your car's position by the end of this week coming. Here is one from the good old days in Newport Beach. I must confess to driving by more than once... Joe www.joesackey.com Image Unavailable, Please Login
If you own an F40 and actually drive it regularly I would love to hear from you on [email protected] One of the techs at Ferrari North America is actually putting together a study that will help with reccomended long-term maintence etc all to our mutual benefit. I know the ex-Bob Rapp car has in excess of 45,000 miles, and I know Coachi and William H have over 20,000 miles each and would love to receive regular input as to mileage, maintenance regularity, technical issues etc. In due course I will summarize what im receiving here on this thread, and it should make for fascinating received wisdom. Of course, the aforementioned only applies if you actually drive your car Additionally, after discussion amongst a few owners, Ive decided that this is not an ideal venue to publish everybody's chassis number and therefore I will not be doing so. The Massini-verified list will remain on file and if anyone wants clarification of the order of their car (or if indeed their chassis number is on the factory registry) please contact me directly on [email protected] Joe www.joesackey.com
