    I used to have an internet Icon on my desktop and I directly linked websites to these individual icons, why won't Vista let me?

    Possible error in your registry? or maybe a corrupted system file

    I don't know how to solve either of those.

    Before Vista I think I just right clicked the icon and copy/ pasted the address in the "target" box. Does this sound right? I was using Windows XP and it always worked.

    Check if the page contains pop-ups or advertising...sometimes the Vista dont let you enter to them...

    No go. One website has no ads of any kinds or pop ups.
    Is my "target" action correct? Just swap in the www. of the website. It's been a year or two since I did it.

    Can't you simply drag a bookmark .ico from a page to the desktop? *checks* yup - works on my OS.

    I don't use Vista, but You may find this site to be helpful in dealing with Vista. Don't limit reading to first page.

    OK, great. But now I get an error message. "Firefox can't find www.dhgfdfhv.com" then the window pops up.
