    Can't get anyone to respond on maseratichat.com so I thought I would ask the crowd.
    My wife drives the Maserati with pedal shifters. The problem is:
    sometimes when first driving away in first gear a beep-beep noise happens. It happens at odd times and ONLY in first gear. The manual seems to be vague but does state that it could be the clutch warning indicating the clutch is hot?? I drove it all over the hills of San Francisco for about 3 hours and it never did it once. Then a day later within 5 minutes it started again. Any thoughts?

    If when 2002's are in 1st you downshift again you engauge "Parking Mode" This also works in "R". This is a mode that is easier on the clutch in slow back and forth. When you accelerate away "Parking Mode" is turned off as it only works at low speeds and it beeps to let you know.

    Downshift to 1. Tap down paddle again. 1 will flash and you will be in park mode. If you are in 2 and double tap down pedal you will also engage Park 1.

    Now, we never put it in "auto" only standard and it is always in "sport". So how do you avoid the beep-beep noise that makes me crazy?

    Make sure you're not putting it into park mode by downshifting into 1 and then down again.
