At a guess something to do with the clutch? The picture on the top is the same as the warning light on the dash that comes on if you have an F1 issue. Why don't you look in your manual under the section for fluids and see what it is???? I wouldn't be driving that car until I figured it out.

I checked the 430 owner's manual, but it doesn't show it any that I could find. However, the picture on the sticker is in fact the logo Ferrari uses for the F1 system.

I don't have the parts manual for the 430, but I did look through the one I have for the 360. I couldn't find anything similar. I also looked through the parts book that eurospares.co.uk has on line, but was unable to find anything (I didn't go through every page, but just sections that sounded like they might apply).

Let us know when you figure it out! :) Maybe your car was originally going to be an F1 car and they changed it down the line, but after having put the F1 tank on? Stranger things have happened! :)

In case of F430s with F1 transmissions, that is the oil reservoir for the F1 transmission as well as the E-diff.
In case of manual transmission (6 speed) F430s, that is the oil supply to the E-differential only.

Doh!! I almost guessed the E-diff or "something to do with traction control" :-D

thanks guys. I will bring it into the dealer to double check. It's overflowing when hot sometimes. Not sure if it's overfill. Thanks.

I had a look at mine today. It did not overflow, but had like oil vapour around the top of the reservoir which I just wiped off with a cloth.

Maybe they put too much in at the factory. Definitley not normal for it to puke.
