I was a member of the FOC early '80s, I have fond memories of Messers Stubberfield, Wolf and Lloyd.
My question is, is John Lloyd still with us? he had a wonderful collection of cars. One I remember was an M1, but that was a BMW.
He was also a pilot, told wonderful stories. Lovely man.

I never got the pleasure of meeting him, but met his wife a lovely woman. I bought his cherished 911 964model afetr he passed away but I believe he had owned it for 10yrs and had a fair few Ferrari's over the years!!

What was he like? Did you know him well or was he just one of the names?

    Thx
    Paul

I was introduced to a lot of the "old timers" mainly by Heintz Wolf when at Prescott Hill Climb.
Mr Bott was one of those stalwarts of the older motoring generation along with those that I mentioned, but I had some great conversations with John Lloyd, he attended some FOC gatherings at The Mill, Whithington, Gloucestershire early '80s. I also remember Peter Stubberfield who I think lived in Bourton on the Water with his lovely wife, but hey 27 years ago .. long time!

John Lloyd is indeed still with us and remains an FOC member (he currently has a Daytona) as, indeed, is Peter Stubberfield, although he is now well into his 90's.

Well I am absolutely thrilled that these two are still with us and well.
Mr Stubberfield had a 308 gt4 and if memory serves me drove it like I drove mine those years ago like a normal everyday car.
Today however, is a little different!
Hope they go on for many years to come.
My question has now been answered and I thankyou.
