That garage looks really familiar with all the Ferrari flags... if I'm not mistaken, the seller is a member of F-Chat. I couldn't find it in FerrariAds.
Looks like a sweet car though.

would like to get opinions on todays market
    for the 430 coupe.

Just as strong or a little weaker ??
will the Scunderia effect the normal 430?

Seems that way. A dealer might be able to get what your asking. If it's not selling then something is wrong and it's usually price. Right now it's like real estate, people think there's going to be some desperate sellers out there and the few that are buying are really shopping. Have you had any serious offers?

just one offer that was not realistic!
the guy offered me a price that would not be able to buy a
    05 with plenty miles.

I guess you can't blame him for trying though!

Continental sold mine in 5 days+/- and it was a 2005 yellow F-1 with 3200 miles.

I think when you try to sell a 430, it would be helpful if you included the MSRP. I would also include a picture of the MSRP. I think if you are trying to move it quickly (quickly in Ferrari time is 45 days) then 20K over MSRP might get some action. I also see that you don't want dealers to contact you ( I am not a dealer). Who cares who sells the car. I would never put that in my ad. There might be ONE dealer who could get your price. Ferrari Selling 101.

PS- Look at your real estate market and then you can answer if the F market is good or bad, they will follow each other. Also remember- its a car, not an investment.

Really? I would think they would follow equities. However I am new at F-car ownership.

    Thanks for the advise,

The only reason i said no dealers is because a few have contacted me with ridiculous offers.
I just stuck the M.S.R.P in the ad which is a little over $203k

    thanks again!!

    IMHO.

Not surprising at all. I couldn't justify a 430 even at MSRP in my wildest dreams but I am looking for a 360 and I see the same ones after 2 months looking, nice sub-$100k cars not even getting bids on Ebay etc. Lenders in the US (and now UK) are in trouble, the economy in Japan is shrinking; we're about to enter into a global downturn or worse (the term recession is a little nebulous and perhaps dramatic). I'm sure most of you are immune to fluctuations in the markets and some will benefit, but many won't and they are your buyers. Pundits are saying mid-2008 is best case for a recovery, 2009-2010 most likely. So trying to sell a car for over MSRP when the price is guaranteed to drop further relies on a buyer with more money than sense (or at least enough money not to care about throwing it away).

Maybe the US is starting to become a normal market for used cars where you can't sell a used car above the MSRP price. That's the case nearly in all other car markets around the world.

How is the resale market for Ferraris in Egypt & surrounding areas, Tarek? -- I.e. how much is the MSRP for a new 430 coupe / spider, and what would a year old one with about say 2,000 kms / go for relative to that MSRP?
