It is a Drogo replica constructed by Terry Hoyle in the UK using the engine from a 250 GTE #2423.
This car has similar lines to 250 swb #2735 that was modified by Drogo in 1962 that had a fairly successful racing career in the hands of Chris Kerrison

The body was originally built to a wrecked 250SWB by drogo (can't look up the serialnr. right now).
In the 1980's the body was removed from the chassis, and the car was reconstructed as a 250SWB.
The body was placed on probably a 250GTE chassis and this is how it looks today. (might even be red now).
Very good conversion known as the 250GTO drogo.
The 1/43 version by BBR is one of the nicest and rarest scalemodels around..

The experts will probably have much more info....

The car is still blue today and I think it will remain in that color.
The body (or a simillar one) was on 250 GTO s/n 3445GT (known as Norinder GTO) and is now on this 250 GTE s/n 2423GT
I've seen the car 3 times now and I love it :)

    Absolutely right.
The Norinder GTO has had several owners since the rebuild.
Its been in Japan, was offered by symbolic, among others.
Its the blue GTO with yellow Stripe..
