First of all, this is not my car. I am a Ferrari Fan and work in the building across the street from Scuderia Ramparte in Boulder, CO. This absolutely stunning 250 GT Boano showed up to get spruced for an upcoming show. I did some research on the internet and came up with either 1956 or 1957 by coach builder Boano.

    Some pics.

very good looking but rather unusual car. only very few had these side vents and the chrome left and right of the plate (lights ?) seems unique.
did you see the chassisnumber ? could it be the barnfind 0529GT in restored condition ?

Where do you find the Chasis number on this car? It comes out of the garage some times so I could look again. According to Dave, the owner of Scuderia Ramparte, this car was in his shop 2 years ago, only then it was gold.

This is a later car than 0543GT - a 1957 that is. You will find chassis number on a type plate in engine compartment, on frame near left front wheel and even on right rear of engine block. Best wishes, Kare

That car looks very much like this one, but it is not the same. The dash is different, the odometer is different and the exaust system is different (although that could have been upgraded).

The Gentry website says the one it sold is a 56.

On the ID number, I do not have access to it so unless I walk by and the hood is open, we will have to keep on guessing. Sorry. It is quite beautiful. I was also told that it won a Best in Class award at the Broadmoor a couple of weeks ago.

I looked at the same pictures earlier today and yes, it is quite likely, especially as both the golden car and the black one carry Colorado plates... but are you 100% sure? Best wishes, Kare

Dear Kare, I don't have any doubt because of previous information I had concerning the repainting of the golden car into black.

Where did that picture come from? I searched and could not find it. Do you have any interior shots (dash shots)?

Just go across the street and ask Dave Helms, the owner of Scuderia Ramparte ( A GREAT GUY !!! ) and, he's an FChatter, so you could always PM him.

I talked to Dave. He was not sure. I figured I would do two things by posting. First, I would show the FChat community a truly beautiful 250GT, then second I would get info on it.
