    How do you think Kimi would be doing if he were racing for McLaren this year;

    1) as Alonso's team mate
    2) as Hamilton's team mate

    Whom would be ahead of whom in the points? Would there be as much intra-team tension between team mates?

    based on the reliability of the Mclarens, Kimster will be in the lead, no doubt.

    I bet he'd be behind in both cases. He just fumbles up Q3 far too often, and we know how important pole position is to Kimi.

    Great question;

    As Alonshole teammate he would be tied.
    Quicker all out speed but lacks in the back-stabbing department.

    As Hami's he would be leading; Equal speed, more experiance.

    Who knows if he'd do any better at McLaren this year. I still think he isn't worth the salary he's being paid right now.

    How's it an "either or" thing?

    The guy's the most overrated F1 personality since Jacques Villeneuve.

    His performance yesterday was so sub par as to pre-empt insult.

    He did mention that he had a hard time holding his neck up under the g-forces (braking) as Hamilton passed him..... I definately think he would have been able to fend LH off the last 12 laps to take the win if he were 100%, the one stop strategy worked for him even though he had a heavy fuel load.

    Very interesting question. Dunno about points, maybe about even with Alonso and ahead of Hamilton. But I definately think that Kimi would get better along with Alonso than Hamilton. Then again I think that Hamilton would cause intra-team tension with about everyone.

    It's funny how everyone on this board wishes kimi stayed at Mclaren. The Kimi haters want someone, anyone else in their beloved Ferrari, maybe a whining "passionate" driver.
    The Kimi fans of course know he would be well on his way to a deserved championship, even if Alonso would have given him a run for his money.

    Don't forget KR was on a one stop at Monza, running full tanks, sore neck, he did very well considering.

    The one stop would have worked for _anybody_ else, anybody who could have bothered to win at least.

    And he clearly was having a hard time holding his eyelids up as Hamilton passed him.

    Quite.

    If he wasn't physically up to the task he should have passed off to Luca.

    A good idea for the rest of the season, at that.

    Luca would not have done better than even an injured Kimi.

    Why are you such a Kimi hater? The guy is a top 3 driver, and is arguably the best driver in F1.

    How'd he blow an easy win? He was never in contention for the win with the way Alonso pretty much left the rest of the field in the dust. As for 2nd place, his injuries were the reason why he couldn't hold Hamilton off.

    The Ferraris never had a chance this weekend, even with the 1-stop strategy.
