What are a good set (4) of 246 wheels going for? One set has been restored (B+ quality) that is stripped, yellow chromate, correct color painted. Great for driver. The rest(6 wheels total) are going to need to be restored at some point. No road rash but some have small nicks. Cleaning out 246 parts- have some steering wheels both original and repro, front license plate holder, horn buttons, hub caps if anyone is interested. Will post in ad section in a few days. Thanks

I've sold and bought a couple sets of wheels.

I sold a really nice powder coated set of four for about $1500 a couple years ago. BUt that's probably close to what I had into them by the time I was done.

Bought a set that needed painting, with caps for about $600, spent another $600 painting them right. These are the keepers. They look beautiful on the car.

I've seen sets for a couple hundred bucks not sell. I've seen them sell for up to $2,000.

The caps are worth more than the wheels, anywhere (restored and nice) for $100-200 each. Seem to sell for more one at a time than in sets. But, really nice repros are now available, which may drive that down a bit.

Steering wheels. All over the map. I've seen them go for $100, $1000, and $1200, depending on time of year, condition, etc.

Bought a front license bracket last year for $50.00

Good horn button $100 maybe, as excellent repros are available.

Does anyone know a source of originals or really nice repros? The repros I have seen so far are not good.

Superformance (http://www.superformance.co.uk/index.htm) has repro wheels of both the Cromadora and the Campy type. In addition, they have the Cromadora in 16". I would think for a driver or as a spare set for running around, the 16" would increase the selection of tire choices which should improve handling. Has anyone tried any of their wheels?

I sold a nicely restored set of five a couple years ago for about $1000 on ebay, which, by the time I had them stripped and painted was about a break even. Those ebay wheels look interesting, what's with the discoloration where the caps attach?
