In response to Dave's post about Dave's brake warning light coming on unexpectedly, John C. mentioned Wallace's 1976 translation of the Dino Shop Manual. How can I get a copy? I have tried searching eBay in the past, but I was never able to find one. Feel free to PM or email me, or to simply post.

    Thanks -

    Mark

I've got an extra copy for Dino #2, care to part with that magnum of Syrah they gave you at the winery last weekend? The AW translations hit $150 last year on eBay, so one of us is going to get a great deal!

PS - I called Angelo in the early 90's and the guy is VERY personable.

Unfortunately Angelo passed away a few years ago.

You can get a nice original from his widow for $99.00 I think.

The Wallace book is a must have for all English speaking Dino Owners. Only error I have found is the torque to be used on the 6mm cam cap bolts. The book says 3.3 kg/m but that strips studs or nuts. Better is 1.3 kg/m. Wallace was not the problem. I also have the Italian original and the same numbers Wallace used were in the original. Looks like the problem was at Ferrari. Mark your book everywhere 6mm torque is mentioned. Start on page 43 where all torque settings are given.

Does anyone know if there is a similar book on the chassis/body? Superformance online catalog has great drawings. Figure they got them somewhere.

There was a body parts manual for the 206 GT and another for the 246 GT.

Thanks to all who posted, and to Flaviaman who emailed me.

Synchro - YOU ARE NOT PRYING THE SYRAH FROM MY HANDS. Weren't the 2 bottles of Leonetti enough?
