I can't log out

    I can't log out from the board so I can add my wife as a user. Going to "user controls" and hitting "Log out" does nothing. Help, oh fchat gods.

    For some reason, the LOG OUT function under the User Controls doesn't work most of the time. Go to the MAIN page and then scroll down to the very bottom on the right hand side. There is a LOG OUT icon down there. It always works.

    The user controls "logout" tab points to a "show thread" link, not the logout function link.

    I think the login function uses cookies, so if you disabled "setting cookies" on your browser after you logged in, the site logout function may not be able to clear them.

    The "bazooka" approach would be to clear all the cookies from your browser. That should erase your login.

    If you set your browser to only retain cookies until you exit the browser, you'll have to login each time you restart your browser.

    (But even I couldn't get excited enough over an old Alfa to enter the "Enzo built this ugly Alfa" debate before it was locked down.)

    Michael, are you using the "black and gold" scheme? If so, switch back to the white background and that should let you log out.
