Some Porsche dealers piss me off......AARRGGHH !!!!

I'm looking for a specific vehicle for a client. After exhausting my contacts I decided to surf the numerous websites I have catalogued on the chance that something is out there.

I just got off the phone with the 5th Porsche dealer this afternoon that has vehicles advertised online that have been sold several days beforehand, and in two cases......2 weeks ago.

I update my website daily.......as do most others dealers I know........how hard is it ? I mean really ? Click, click, click.......done in 30 seconds.

Bait and switch tactics piss me off and waste my time.....some will say it's for the advertising benefit......etc.....etc.....IMHO it is very unprofessional.

I've been at the bank collecting funds when my phone rang once. What a piss off!

Yeah the "bait and switch" is rough but this is more of "teaser and swhich" which totally legal.

 

What sites are you looking at. If you're looking at P dealer inventory that can include incoming cars and those already spoken for.

 

I don't think KDS is a moron.

 

Real Estate companies pull this same crap. I don't know how many times I've contacted a realtor about those houses in the free publications only to find out that the house sold months ago. A guy told me once that 99% of the houses in those magazines are sold. Why print the f'n thing then? Get me all excited about something...

 

The term, I believe is, "sucker bait."

 

Legal is one thing. Ethical is another.

 

Uh huh. I agree. If KDS is a moron, he is one of the most thoughtful and ethical morons I ever met. Eh!

 

Magazine ads are the worst.
By the time the ad is submitted, magazine printed and sent most of the good ones are gone. The rest are either overpriced or have a history.
Cars.com and Autotrader sometimes have a run till you sell. Ad is paid for and continues to run to get free calls after car is sold.

 

What car are you looking for?

 

2006 Cayenne "S" with under 10K miles........not silver or black though LOL !!.....so there are very few to choose from with the colors/options I need.

Maybe I am asking too much........I mean really.......I've worked at dealers where we had 150 cars in stock and I did the website for them.......it is easy to do the day they are sold.
