"Great for maintaining shine between washes, or for a quick, waterless clean and wax."

It appears similar to meguiars quik detail which I have used. I wouldn't dare wipe my car down with anything after a day or so worth of driving. the paint on my m3 swirls just looking at it wrong. For instance, this morning I washed my car. I parked at school where they're doing constuction. There's a layer of "construction" dust on my car. I'd be extremely hesitant to spray meguiars quik detail on my car and simply wipe it down.

Is there something in the product that prevents you from dragging contaminants across the paints finish ? I don't mean any disrespect but is this mainly for cars that sit in a garage/showroom all day ?

I posted a review elsewhere, but in any case, I used it on the car after having driven it for a week, had the cover on it a couple of times, and decided to try it out on the boot and bonnet.

I was very impressed with the result - i followed the directions, put it on and then spread it with a cloth, let it sit for a minute, and them buffed it with a clean microfiber. I use other stuff as well, but this really puts the slick - just waxed feel back into the car - and I didn't notice any tendency to swirl or mar the paint.

Since we have a hose pipe ban and can't wash out cars at home, I'll be making good use of it.

Thanks very much for the great product!

No disrespect felt. Just an honest and very good question. There is a material in the product that is a kind of slip component that does quickly engulf fine particulate. Construction dust is a whole different animal than general floating contaminants like pollen, etc.. Construction dust can have concrete dust from cutting, brick dust from cutting, and depending on where you are from, the dirt can contain silica material that can be VERY abrasive. These are more than obvious on the vehicle. When I say maintaining between washes I think I may have a little more faith in the logical mind that if you have a substantial amount of build up on the car, it needs to be water washed. Deep Detail as a waterless wash is for the repeat user, like myself, that routinely wipe down our vehicles. All mine are black. If it has a substantial build up or whats on there is twinkling at me, they get washed with water.

    Great question.

I got mine and used it on both the silver Maserati, as well as the black Ferrari, and must say that I am very pleased with the result. I have used the Zaino and Zymol instant detail sprays and thought that this provided a deeper shine and a surface that felt more slick. Product went on easily and came off without streaks. Not a huge difference in overall finish, but I would say a difference that is visible to my eyes.

but I will post photos of my rides and the results afterwards....stay tuned and thank you very much!

me and my cars are all split up right now....remodeling and moving back in starting tomorrow - you all know how that goes. When EVERYTHING is in - the cars come last. I am going to be keeping my Alfa and P-car 930 at home, the CT is staying in a special place - unfortunately 25 miles from my home.

thanks for the reply. I kinda figured that was the case. Every wash here in our area has to be a water wash unless the car is garaged most of the time, unfortunately. The air quality here in the NYC area is just plain poor, our "floating" contaminants aren't normal. :)
I clayed/polished/waxed my car last week and I can already feel newely embedded contaminants in the paint, irritating to say the least.

    thanks again!!

This came in from a customer:

    Scott,
Good to meet you at our 2007 Annual Meet in Corning. I have my Boxer re-detailed after the 700 mile trip home to Chicago and am glad to report the car made it there and back without any mishaps.
I am very pleased with the results of your Deepdetail spray. It is much easier to apply than the numerous other products I have used in the past.
As promised, I am forwarding some pictures of the awards I won at the event, plus a bounced shot of the Pirelli models standing in front of the front lid while it was in the upright position. I'll send a couple more via separate e-mail.
    Best regards,
    Dave B

This is where you would find great benefit in our Deep Swax sealer product. If you are using a traditional wax based product, most often it will melt out in the direct sunlight and loosen many of the spray detailers that are used on top of the wax. When this happens, the surface becomes a magnet for those floating contaminants (the abnormal kind in your area) and they become trapped in the surface when the cooling of the day comes in the evening. This process cycles again the next day and you start to get a lot of crap built up on the surface.

So much for your timely clay job.

The Deep Swax has a very high melting point and is almost never reached in ordinary conditions, even southeastern sun and humidity. It has much better durability than almost everything we tried and it was actually tested on tractor trailers primarily. Also, without all that melting and drying going on, it always maintains an incredible gloss and depth.

    That's one shiny boxer!

Used the detail spray on the wife's car and the F car again, very good results. I find it removes easier with no streaking and high gloss, also very smooth surface. Great product I feel, I'm going to try the swax soon. I'll try it on the black car as soon as I wash all the dirt off it, that will be a better test.

Used the Deep Detail Spray tonite after a car wash.

    Pros:
    Leaves a great shine
Easy to apply with no streaking
    Smells great
I have a 328, it did wonders on the fiberglass targa top

    Cons:
    Sprayer on the bottle DOA

I'd like to try the Swax, I'll have to get a bottle. A nice plastic cleaner would be nice, do you think you can conjure that up Scott?

    Thanks for a great freebie!

This is not traditionally the type of dust that causes scratching. Its mainly kick up dust and pollen type floaters that have no abrasive properties. Not all dust is the same though. For instance, if you have a room over the garage and a sanded paint ceiling you need to be very careful of what might be on the car. But for the most part there is no need to worry. The Deep Detail can be applied right after you have dusted the car.

    Scott -

I had my car detailed on Saturday morning. On Sunday, I drove 200+ miles on a local rally. On Tuesday I drove 90 miles to the track, ran the car all day long in an EXTREMELY dusty environment, and drove 90 miles home. Washed the car with cool running water and gentle soap. After drying, I used the Deep Detail spray with a microfiber.... the results? HOLY CRAP!! Absolutely fantastic results. Unlike the other big name products I have used, there was absolutely no streaking or smearing. The finish looks incredible.

    A+ Can I buy a 55-gallon drum of this stuff? :)

I just ordered the swax and detail spray. I have 2 year old paint, base coat clear coat polyurethane - black. I have several coats of mcquires and mothers synthetic applied to the car and am observing streaking and cannot get it out. Can I just apply these products (swax) over the current products??? I plan on applying swax over these products unless otherwise advised…..thanks in advance.

Great to hear!! It took a long time to figure out how to make the Deep Detail work like that. Quite a few FChatters have ordered the Swax and I can't wait for those reactions as well. We are just getting started but as I said before, I would put the finish of these two products up against ANY other product. And they are realistically priced.

55 gallon drum....I can provide but you have to shake this stuff so I hope you are pretty strong :D

Enclosed in your order is a small bottle of a product we will be introducing to retail at a later time and its called Deep Remove. Add the contents to about 2 gallons of water and use that to wash the painted surfaces just like you were washing the car. This will remove most of the spent synthetics that are giving you the streaks and help get a deeper finish when the Swax is applied. The Swax can do this on its own on the first application but its better just to get it off and with the Remove, its very easy. With the Swax, do the recommended two coat minimum and you will be VERY pleased with the results. Additional coats and it will just keep looking wetter which is uncommon for sealer products.

Just when I thought I had bought enough different detailing products to polish the entire world and had settled in on the Zaino products, here I go again. I expect I'll place my order today.

sken: my 360 has some very superficial swirls (it's Pozzi Blue which is pretty dark) - would you expect the Swax to improve that enough or should I do some hand polishing first? I realize it's hard to answer without seeing the car, but what are your instincts?
