    Just wondering...
I just got done watching the movie 28 weeks later. If you haven't seen it, its about an unstoppable virus that breaks out in London and infects the UK before it gets quarantined and all the infected die of starvation. Then it breaks out again... it ends up spreading to France then the movie ends right as the infected are running out of the channel tunnel into Paris.
My question is this. Why wouldn't countries like the US and Russia just tactically nuke all of the UK and France? If its unstoppable and you want to make sure its dead? Absolutely pointless question, but hey what the hell.. I'm bored.

Because if they nuked it, the virus would simply be transported into the atmosphere where it would spread via rain to everywhere. Plus the nuclear radiation would mutate the virus such that the future infected would in fact be turned into zombies who wanted to eat the brains of the living.

Im surprised you don't know these things. Do you not watch movies much?

Good point. Great way to turn an epidemic into a pandemic. Unintended consequences?
