The Formula One racing team was stripped of its points in the constructors’ standings and faces a hefty fine for using leaked secret technical documents belonging to rival Ferrari.

FIA said it did not penalize McLaren's drivers "due to exceptional circumstances" because they provided evidence in exchange for immunity.

Wow, didn't really expect this. Heads will have to roll at McLaren. It will be interesting to see how things continue to unfold. Fortunately the drivers can just continue to race.

Never expected the outcome of the case to be so severe. Extremely bad for McLaren. I wonder how that will affect Mercedes. Mercedes owns 40% of McLaren and rumor was that Mercedes was planning to buy the remaining 60% very soon. It was just a matter of time until Mercedes completed the buyout, which some say was already negotiated, just not yet announced.

Really unbeliveable, drivers have been racing with an ILLEGAL CAR all year round and all their points are good, where is the COMMON SENSE?

Mclaren´s car is ilegal, they have had 2 teams working for then : Engineers from Mclaren and Ferrari
