Could anyone point me in the right direction to acquire the correct tool kit for my 79 Boxer? I believe it is the "suitecase" style as opposed to the leather kit. Is there a list/ picture of all the correct tools in the case to verify my purchase? Any help greatly appreciated!!

I know where there is a new one (unused), complete with tools and keys but very expensive.

Well, part of the problem is the owner doesnt know what its worth and is reluctant to underprice it. He doesnt own a boxer, just happens to have this tool kit. It has the horse on it etc, its correct and so on. We can sort of take a poll here to try and put a value on it if you like. Me I think $4K is right considering its new. I can give any interested person the phone number so you can deal directly with the owner and ill stay out of it.

    Good day Robert,

Keep checking on Ebay, as some turn up on there periodically... in a variety of conditions (be aware). From what I have seen on Ebay, good to very good condition ones seem to sell for about $1200 to $1500 USD mark. Mint and virtually new ones, like the one Paul mentioned, are a lot more.

    Cheers,

    Sam

Thanks for the input. I will start watching Ebay although I have heard quite a few people having bad experiences there. I was thinking of something in the $1,000 to $1,500 range. Do ya'll really think that as new kit is worth $4,000!?!? What about offering him $2,000?

WOW, That is incredible! How would I get in touch with this person? It won't hurt to make him an offer... Any thoughts on how much this acquisition would enhance the value of my car? Obviously I will never use the kit.

I cant confirm the right colour if there is such a thing on a ferrari. I guess if I needed a tool kit I would jump at a new one like the one we are talking about and move on. My car isnt concours ready and if I lost a point for grey felt over red then who gives a crap. They sure wont go down in value over time especially if the cars double in price in the next 10 years or so.

Now the one labeled 'Mercedes Benz', I think was an extra.....LOL!

I used it to change the oil in the Toyota yesterday, burning my arm on the manifold...that's gonna leave a mark......
