Thanks guys, both the Awards Party and the brunch were great events and I had a great time at both... I don't have a Ferrari but there were a number of Lambos there at both so I didn't feel like too much of an outsider...LOL...

Regarding the Sunday drive... I feel sorry for the guy in the grey Murci tha spun in front of me... That was an unfortunate situation... Like I mentioned to Jon, it happens all the time at the track when I'm driving my Porsche, people spinning in front of me, it happens every time I go, but on the street, wow, scary, luckily there were no bike riders or cars coming the other direction... And luckily nobody got hurt, the car can be fixed...

Anyway, it was a good time besides that and I hope there are more events in the near future...

 

I actually was wondering how did he lose control? was that a tyre puncture? or ?

 

I was behind the black Bently and he was behind me, at times the Bently was going a little slow but I had no problem with that, we weren't in a race or anything... but the Murci was on my ass most of the time and when the Bently pulled over and let us by, I sped up, and I was even going too fast for that road, but still not too bad and then, the Murci just flew by me, in a corner and when he got back on the right side of the road, his back end started to slide, then he corrected and boom it went back the the other way and he hit the "dirt wall" and spun across the road and then backwards into some poles around a meter of some sort... Luckily he didn't go downt eh embankment and luckily there were no bike riders or cars coming the other way... I was shaking as if it was me that it happened to...

I'm scared to even think what could happen.. But why to be such a silly ...... to rick not just expensive car but with your own life and be a danger to the others? still it was sort of a happy end for him, as you say - no one got hurt that's more important

Good night all ....it's 3am here.

 

Just wanted to add a few thoughts and suggest some new categories for next year. Unless it's totally obviously meant in jest, drop the hurtful categories, and add ones that celebrate the cars and owners. I was thinking best 308/328, 348/355, 360/CS/430, modern front V12, classic V8, classic V12, supercar, collection, best color combo, best rims/mods on their ride, Most likely to toss you the keys to their car, least likely, best photo artist, best videos, most helpful to other members, most likely to get a permanent ban, stuff like that. Also, although I know we can't tell them how to run their business, and the cantina did a great job last night, maybe they should have a system where people get seated so the servers know who needs a menu or to order. Either that or have walk-up orders and then hand out numbers so servers can find your table. Just some thoughts for making next time even better, if possible. Oh, and maybe have the contests open to only pros or amateurs and not both. Or have $600/$300/$100 or something. Not that she seemed to deserve any sympathy, but it seems it would behoove us to keep the talent happy and welcome so they'll stick around. The ones that stayed were so much fun.

It was awesome seeing everyone! Jeff thanks for the ride to the show. Awesome car you got there. Good to meet Tgood finally. Yulia, great to meet you, hopefully you'll keep coming back to these events. It was fun mingling with all of you. Yeah Franks right, it would be awesome to have awards for some of the cars. I'm glad pretty much everyone had a good time.
