This is what passes for being a Ferrari fan?? I wasn't aware that your allegience to the team was so fickle...wait a minute, yes I was. I think it is laughable the attitude of these so-called "Tifosi" who claim their allegience to the team ends of a certain driver is signed... A real Tifosi supports the team no matter who the drivers are.
and there you have a point... ...and MAYBE IF Todt isnt there anymore for next year, then he´ll bring in ROSS and he´ll have room to grow...but even when I see there could be a possibility FOR THE DRIVER NOW THAT YOU MAKE ME NOTICE IT, I dont think it might happen even if all those Todt OFF/Brawn IN things...there is plenty of things rolling allready with the actual lineup...at last they tolerate each other, they started to perform consistantly, and there is a high morale to rain on the McLaren WDC TRANSDIVA parade... ...IMO is not going to happen...I COULD FIT THEN...but I wont like it.
I hate the sound of that! Massa seems like a really nice guy and he has done a very good job for the team this year. I would be very sad to see Massa go, and even more so if he was to be replaced by someone like Alonso.
It would require a lot of things falling into place and that's why I don't think it is a realistic scenario. Alonso at Renault for 08 as I said. But I wouldn't exclude Alonso in a Ferrari sometime in the future.
Wind tunnel testing is decreasing in importance compared to CFD. Not just technically, but it has to also because of the rules: Mosley is limiting the amount of wind tunnel testing going forward. Honda's problems cannot be compared to Ferrari's: Ferrari had a technical failure in the tunnel that required a repair. If anything the tunnel was out of service for a couple of weeks. Honda miscalibrated the new wind tunnel and didn't realize it for months. Once they realized it, they had to go back to the drawing board, change the car and also calibrate the tunnel. Problem was they didn't believe their original test data that showed the tunnel data to be incorrect.
One thing some tifosi as myself have is a thing called MORALS...Maybe you have not heard of that word. I dont back a liar and a cheat like Alonshole. He will never be part of Ferrari anyway and like I said if he did, I have Morals and would not back the team. You question my Tifosi status but its not I but you who backed the McCheater team through all this scandle. McCheater lost and should have lost more. The evidence is there and there is more but the FIA is having some pitty for Lucifer and the McCheater team so a lot of it is being hushed and you will hear it come out in bits and pieces in the future. No, people who have morals do not back anything they see as wrong. On one hand during this debacle you said that many of us including myself were such fans that we were blinded by what you called the facts. Now you accuse me of being a fickle fan. You are truly a bag full of laughs. I would like to ask you once again....What team do you really back? or do you just like sitting on the fence and pissing in our pool? I believe that Ferrari has morals and a certain allegence to there fans. This is why I am certain that Alonshole will never be part of our team. Some good drivers in the past never drove for Ferrari for the same reasons.
And the xtra plus ... FA would be on a mission to stick it to M/M that can't be bad consider how he is doing LH lately. Whatever he does/says off the track he CAN drive and KNOWS how to develop the car.
You supported Michael Schumacher, didn't you? A driver who has been found guilty of cheating several times by the FIA and was penalized for it. A driver who has been caught lying (e.g. Monaco qualifying 06: he denied doing it on purpose yet his telemetry showed otherwise).
I'm not a real Tifosi then. I'll turn in my rossa card! Really, we have quite a few Ferrari fans on this board that were not Schumacher fans and openly rooted against him. Will it be any different for those of us who won't support Alonso?
+1 Alonso is a prick who tramps around like a 5 year old when he doesn't get his way. It'll be a sad day if Alonso joins Ferrari. I love Ferrari, but a man has his limitations I trust they'll make the right decision.
Michael did make mistakes that he shouldnt have...I will never say that he hasnt. But these things happenen on the track in split second decisions. He has done a lot more good for this sport than any driver in the past. Untill you know someone or talked to someone that has worked in the pits and on his car, then you may never know how good this guy was at what he did and the people he helped. Everyone loves to slam the guy at the top. If MS didnt have those indiscresions on the track Im sure they would find something else. MS ran in about 250 races and made a handfull of mistakes and has never blamed anyone but himself. He only praised his team and tire manufacturer even when he had good reason to let loose on them. Alonshole has run a mere 100 races and has made even more mistakes and those are the ones that are NOT made in a split second on the track. They are the ones that are well thought out before he opens his mouth and blames everyone but himself. What kind of man wins a WDC and says publicly that he owes his championship to nobody. He is a complete azzhole and even you know it. To compare him to MS is a joke and coming from you .......well I dont know what to say about that.
Some of the scandals involving him happened off the track: 94 for driving knowingly an illegal car. 99 for lying to his bosses about the condition of his leg and 2006 lying to the press and the fans about deliberately parking the car in qualifying. And these are just the few examples that come to mind. I'm sure there are more. Point is not to slam MS, but to get over the "high morale" argument. Multiple WDCs get there because they are ruthless. Alonso is no saint and neither was Schumacher. Ferrari wants a winner in the cockpit, not a priest.
That is where you are wrong......Im italian and my roots are 30 minutes from the factory....I think I know how Italians from that part of Italy think and I can tell you that they want a winner but will not sell their souls for one. Alonshole will never drive a Ferrari. If you think McCheater made a huge mistake keeping and using the documents they got from Ferrari then Ferrari would be makeing their biggest mistake of the decade if they took alonshole.
Alonso would make a great addition to the Ferrari F1 team IMHO...It would be great if he won the 2007 WDC with McLaren and then went to Ferrari and won the 2008 WDC...
When MS joined the Scuderia the Italians weren't enthusiastic about him, despite the fact, that he already was a two time world champion and showed that he is the best there is and that he can turn a midfield team into a winner. They didn't like him because he was too German. But as soon as he started to win races and give them a real chance fighting for the title their hearts warmed up. I believe you when you say the Italians wouldn't welcome Alonso. But I think once he starts winning they might change their minds as well. Might take a bit longer because the situation at Ferrari is currently not desperate as it was when MS joined. My take on the Italians is, that they are proud, but also very pragmatic.
Schumacher knew the factory janitors by name, autographed every sewing machine in the upholstery department, learned Italian. I really doubt that Alonso would do any of this. And the fact that he had Ferrari data obtained in a clandestine manner and considered using it with McLaren pissed off way too many Italians. Pragmatic, maybe, but not stupid. Certainly proud. Alonso at Ferrari would be really stupid. I would start buying Sato t-shirts.
Why on earth would you like the sound of that? He wants the team to be 100% geared towards him, and the scuderia isn't going to do that IMO. I would hate for him to come to Ferrari and pull the BS about the team not backing him like he did at McMerc this year. +1,000,000,000,000,000........... I'd back the second driver, not Alonso, although I don't think he's a bad driver, I do think he's bad for the team. If that happens, I'll give my support to Toyota lol
...I was there for the MORRON of the decade Berger...and I dont see how I COULD root for a different team...I have it in my blood, I´ve been a tifosi even before I knew ferrari won a thing or was a backmarker... and I dont think there is a place for Unfairnando in Ferrari, I hope we stick to this driver line up, and that we can screw McLiaren winning the WDC. ...now onto the ROSS BRAWN ISSUE now Im starting to understand you Andreas...you are always a "DRIVER" and that´s how you see the world... I´m a "TEAM" and that´s how I see the world ...good to know! FORZA FERRARI
