    This option has always been available. I chose the full leather rear as the rear window of the 599 is large enough to afford a clear view of the interior and the leather looks much better on the rear of the seats IMO.
    In conjunction with that choice I went for a carpeted rear shelf instead of leather, as the leather is shiny at night and reflects headlights of cars following you making it unpleasant to look in the rear view mirror.

    I have not yet heard of this option.

    If you go standard, then the surrounding portion of the racing seatbelt holes are done in carbon, where the rest of the seatback is a black plastic.

    If you order the full leather, then the whole seatback is done in leather.

    Yes, my dealer told me it will be new option but still there is no availability to order it as for now. But it is FULL CARBON seat back side. You can check photos I have attached carefully, you can see that this 599 GTB seat back side is full carbon, no leather, no plastic.

    It makes perfect sense. It would be the perfect complement to the full carbon interior.

    Carbon Seat backs appear to be std with Leather backs being an add on option, admittedly all early cars were shipped with Full electric Recaro seats if that makes a difference

    No, I believe the standard seats were half carbon fiber & half plastic on the back side.

    These aren't standard seats but similar to these...
