Depends if the F2007 tech info is still useful if he made the jump but could BMW stoop as low as McL? ;)

Fred in Red for 08 now that would be funny. What would you noble sportsmen do if he did drive for FIAT and collected his 4th straight WDC ?

And saying Ferrari didn't start this whole mess by letting their own employee walk around with private company data is like saying the drunk naked chick with a tube of lube in her hand didn't want to be f_cked after she blew you.

Big bad McLaren bullied the Italians and took their homework, you guys sound like a 98 lb weaklings.

Since OJ is back in the news, poor Ron Goldman's parents should be blaming Nicole Simpson for Ron's death-if she hadn't left her glasses at the restaurant Ron would be alive today, so it was Nicole's fault. Welcome to the Mclaren apologists' world.....

I would never want Alonso at Ferrari.
He races for him self not for the team, and thats how he has been since he has had a ride in F1.
Lets just say he did go to Ferrari... do we really want to see Alonso push his Ferrari team mate off the track every race?

AFAIK he got a 2 year contract at the end of 06, so there shouldn't be any renewal question at this point.

No word about that. Do you think that upgrade would be deserved? He was good in Spa and drives a POS, but strikes me as inconsistent. I dunno.

    I love their other headline:

Massa and Alonso are fine, if you watched the podium ceremony this weekend they were talking on the way to the podium. Fernando apologized to Felipe

And Schumacher raced for the team or any other great champion for that matter not himself? Do you even know anything about Formula One?

And you know all the good that MS has done because you're a close personal friend? And you know Alonso hasn't done anything like that because again you are a close personal friend? If you just prefer a driver over another just say so. You arguement is really weak. MS NEVER once accepted responsibility for a single thing he did wrong. Not once. He was no more moral than Alonso is.

PS Actually you cant compare Alonso to MS. Alonso is more successful than MS was at his age. The only difference between them is MS never said what he truely felt, only what the media wanted to hear.

None of Schumacher's championships were tainted-whoever wins this year's WDC assuming it is a McLaren driver will always be tainted by the controversy.

Paul you and I are almost always on the same page, I personally hope neither McLaren Driver wins the WDC this season, especially Alonso. But as far as Schumachers Championship not being tainted, I think it clearly was in 1994. Had the FIA not needed him, Benetton should have been banned for the season for the car. In addition, Schumacher should have been disqualified as he was in 97 for the crap he pulled on Damon Hill at the last race. However, from 95 on his Championships were achieved through excellence in driving and I think he did a fantastic job in those 5 championships for Ferrari.

In 94 there always were the allegations surrounding the Benettons but nothing proven; in 97 MS unquestionably **** the bed; in 1999 he would have won it but for the British GP accident.

Bottomline is this year will always be remembered for the spy scandal, the first of its kind since the "modern" F1 championship started in 1950; people who normally don't care about F1 all know about the scandal thanks to the sensational $100M penalty headlines.....THANK YOU TEAM VODAFONE MCLAREN MERCEDES BENZ.

Never a McLaren fan but I always respected them-not anymore. I believe the full FIA report comes out tomorrow; I'm guessing that McLaren got off rather lightly....

Ferrari will never sign FA but stranger things have happened. If Ferrari had to sign a new driver I'd like to see Nico Rosberg....

No your right I don't know anything lol, I should of asked you what I thought right?
I think Schumacher is and always was good for F1 and Ferrari,so don't miss quote me.
I said Alonso is bad for the sport and Ferrari, and he has done very well at proving on his own...with or with out McLarens help...

Maybe you should pick up the sports section or read a lil about McLaren or Alonso next time you start talking out your ass to me...

Alonso wont be at Ferrari in 2008... this is a stupid thread...

He didn't come back willingly. He was ordered to by LdM. Schumacher was plannign to sit out the season despite being fit enough to drive. had LdM not found out Schumacher was out playing soccer when he was telling the team he had not yet healed from his broken leg, Salo would have ridden out the season as Irvine's partner.

So much for the "team player" nonsense...

MS IMHO would certainly do more to help a teammate than Asslonso; Asslonso seems to be a destructive force to McLaren; he'll be out at McLaren soon.

I do know that none of MS's teams had to pay a $100m fine....
