Hi there Tarek. yes indeed i did, if you have a config you would like me to photoshop the wheels i would gladly do it for you. just send me a pm if you do shigs
Great Michael, thanks....I would really appreciate that as I have absolutely zero knowledge about photoshopping. Are you also able to photoshop a body color. I would like to photoshop a Scudria picture if it's possible. Thanks in advance.
i'm not the best photoshoper in the world, but i will certainly give it a try, pm me with what colour scheme your after and i will send you my email for you 2 send me the images thanks
Wonderful to play with the FCC, thanks to Tarek for his initial post. But, sadly, the Ferrari Car Configurator does a very poor job of representing what colors look like on the car. As an example, click on 'Avio Met' (from the 60-70s list) which has apparently been confimred as the "blue" on the 430 Scuderia presented at Frankfurt. From the 430 Scuderia pics the blue looks light, metallic, gleaming, stunning. From the Car Configurator 'avio met' looks dull, flat, old, ugh! Still happy to play with the FCC with hopes they enrich it even more.
Unfortunately the colors aren't accurate due to the computer animation....I am sure it can be improved. Porsche configurator for example is great....the colors are very precise. However, it still gives us a reasonably good idea of combination possibilities.
Is there anywhere that there is posted a good set of pictures of the different silver/grey colors with correct identifiers that I can look at? I have been trying to piece a set of them together to decide for a forthcoming 430 order, but am having a difficult time. Thanks for any help. George
George, call your Ferrari dealer and request true color samples. That is what I did a few days ago and I will receive the original samples soon which will be sent from the Ferrari factory in Italy.
I'm almost glad I'm not able to access this tool because i would be on it all day and not getting any work done That first tdf (?) f430 with the black interior with blue inserts would be mine ... beautiful
Tarek, Thanks for the quick response. I have been to the dealership and seen the plates, though. What I was hoping to see are real world, in the sunlight, pictures with color names. The small samples really don't translate to full size that well. Also, in previous threads where people post pictures and the color names there seems to be some uncertainty of which color it really is. Thanks again. George
George, there is only little confusion among us with regards to the very recent and new Ferrari colors and some historical colors which we are not used to seeing very often. Which colors or shades do you have in mind for your Ferrari and we will try to find adequate pictures with proper lighting showing more or less the true color?
http://www.configurator.ferrariowners.com/ Is this address still working for everybody, I was on it for about an hour last nite. now it won't work today
Tarek, Thanks. The colors are Argento Nurburgring, Grigio Titanio, Grigio Ingrid, and Grigio Alloy. I am leaning towards the Argento, which I think I have reliable pictures of, but if I am correct Grigio Alloy can look like Argento in certian light. I will mention that I have been through all 80 odd pages of the first thread in this F430 section. I hate asking for information that is readily available. Sorry if I missed a thread some where. George
Actually I am looking at the same colors and some other Grigio shades for my 430 Scuderia. I'll try to locate pictures of those colors. Best, TK
Gentlemen.....nothing to worry about, the configurator is still working, but currently for dealers only who have assigned passwords. The site is probably still being updated. I have been informed by Mr. Marco Cavagna, Regional Manager Middle East & Africa, that by month end on the Owner's Site www.owners.ferrari.com the Ferrari car configurator will be live also for clients.
Tarek, you have to remember that many of us don't have Ferraris. That site is only for current owners. I'm glad I had a chance to play with it before they shut it down.
I do not own a Ferrari. Does this mean I can't access the configurator? I must have spent 4 hours on it the other day. A lot of fun!
Cant believe that I missed it Hopefully it will not require password when it launches again so that I can waste time at work on this. Coundn't think of a better waste of time personally.
I hope they let non owners use it to. I like Ferrari cars just the same as owners maybe more then some. Can't afford one yet, but one day. So I think they should have it avalible for all to use and dream with.
