His brain is connected to his heart, which is connected to his right foot, which is connected to the rear tyres.

    Traction control changed this.

Great video. I bet Ron Dennis would watch this video with a mist in his eyes.

Hell, I had mist in my eyes seeing that. The youngsters on this board have little recognition of the loss F1 suffered when Senna died. I can't begin to imagine how exciting it would have been to have seen Senna racing a mature Schumacher. We have truly been denied.

By the way, the look on Prost's face following Senna's qualifying lap at Monaco is simply priceless. Those were the days...

What a shame he never got the chance to race for Ferrari.

Absolutely! We tend to forget that those guys didn't drive cars that were as technologically advanced as today, and it was much easier to separate the great drivers from the good ones. A good car didn't guarantee that you wouldn't get lapped by Senna in the rain in a p.o.c. F1 car. That's what guys like Senna and Schumacher did. (that first Ferrari Schu guided to a now DQ's 2nd place was garbage. It was nowhere near the car that the Williams was)

It would have been awesome to enjoy 2 or 3 more years of Senna v Schumacher

    The very best of all-time.

F1 hasn't been the same since his passing.

Great stuff. Damn I wish they'd go back to manual trannys and unrestricted revs.....Lauda said he'd get blisters on his right hand after the Monaco GP as there were so many gearchanges....

The Monaco street circuit is the only reason that I would not drive an F1 car today, and yet Senna can do it while shifting and essentially steering with 1 hand. The man is in a class of his own, now if F1 reverted to manual shifting and other Senna-era equipment/cars, we would see true driving and a huge difference between drivers.

Which is what I wish they would revert to manual transmissions, less aero grip, and more mechanical grip.

Me too, they need to do something to generate passing/action in F1, because there is none.
There was as many passes at Monaco as there are Z's in Ferrari, ZERO. Are they trying to put us to sleep?
In the old F1 races, there would be 5 or 6 people fighting for the lead within 1 seconds of each for the first few laps, now after a lap Kimi is 7 seconds ahead of 5 place.

The reason it's this way is probably because the bosses i.e Mosley, Bernie etc. are all old and out of touch. They think watching the cars parade around is a spectacle and more than enough for the fans. They think passing is too dangerous, and they have no concept what true racing fans want.

Its ironic because Max and Bernie are of the age where they, of all people, should appreciate what F1 used to be like!
