    Ok, so this season is already turning out to be a great one. The SEC is undoubtedly at the top of the conference rankings, LSU v Florida would make a great SEC Championship game. USC is great, but imho they have a weak schedule, especially over the next month.

    If LSU/Florida, USC, and Oklahoma win out, who gets left out of the title shot?

    The Big East looks good, but Kentucky put them in place with a win over Louisville. I don't bother much with the polls this early because we still don't know what kind of teams we're looking at(see Michigan, Notre Dame, Wisconsin, etc).

    Put up your thoughts about this season - what's happened so far and things to come! i myself am looking forward to seeing what South Carolina can do against LSU at home - the spread is 16 to LSU atm, so they don't think it will be too big of a blowout. Georgia at Alabama will be another good east v west SEC battle. Penn State v Michigan could be better than previously thought, Washington at UCLA also.

    Just kidding about the ACC, but I always hope for my Canes to have a great year. If the teams you mentioned go undefeated I would take the SEC / Oklahoma matchup. LSU looks good but I think UF beats them twice (or at least in the SECCG). USC should lose two games this year (Cal and some lesser team). My prediction for USC is based on them following almost exactly the same win / lose pattern that my Canes did in the beginning of this millenium. Heartbreak loss in the MNC game was 02 for us against OSU, USC lost to Texas. the next year we were very good but lost a late season game (VT?) to put us out of the running. USC did this last year against UCLA. Florida looks really good and I expect they will make it in, the other team is a likely OK, but who knows???

    As an ACC fan, all I can say is that basketball better be starting soon :p

    But really, since I'm applying to a third of the Big Ten schools, they better do well. I've never been a huge fan of the conference, but if I get into Illinois I won't have much of a choice.

    You always have a choice, Ice. For my college decision, I chose to head south to where football was truly king, and to be around prettier girls that don't have to pile on all that bulky winter clothing ;) .

    The Big 1T1en is a great conference, but not atm.

    The SEC is very much the dominant conference this year. The Vols are off to bit of a rough start, but maybe we play some better football against the rest of our SEC opponents this season.

    well, i've gotta throw one out for the big 12. nebraska didn't put up a fight for very long against usc, but that's good news for my mizzou tigers, ranked 25th on the ap and coaches polls, plus we've got a pretty good schedule coming up. a side note - i know the guy who used to be truman the tiger, he graduated last year, the dude got so many numbers when he just mentioned what he did...

    Rollso - I had a fraternity brother who was Big AL(Alabama's mascot), and quite coincidently, another fraternity brother earned the spot after the first graduated(they have a serious tryout at the basketball colliseum). They both had chick-magnet personalities to begin with, but being Big AL certainly didn't hurt....

    I am so sick of hearing about how great USC is I could puke. I came home last saturday and turned on ESPN and all I heard was them go on for 15minutes about how "USC made a statement on why they should be #1" then in one breath " by the way number 2 LSU has outscored their opponents 130 to 7" How biased can they be. If USC had destroyed At the time #9 VA Tech like LSU did the media would have wanted to crown USC national championsright then and there and not bother playing the rest of the season. FUSC and their illegitimate national championship from 2003 bottom line the didn't get it done on the field. Oh and F that whore Saban too.

    My fellow F-chatters, I give you sparta49: LSU class in a nutshell.

    If this guy isn't enough evidence that LSU fans are bitter and spiteful for no apparent reason other than they're winning, take a look at this:

    This is a fan base that, instead of donating money back to their university, pays for space on a billboard in Pasadena that basically says "Hey USC, we won, and you shouldn't say you did anymore." LSU has the trophy regardless of how the coaches voted, so why complain about it FOUR YEARS LATER?!?! And don't chalk this up to a bitter rivalry: the teams have only met twice, and are 1-1, both games more than twenty years ago.

    A coach that took them to the top of the national stage, a stage they hadn't seen since the 1950's. Could you imagine being the type of person that oversees daily operation of a site devoted to hating someone who made them great?

    I'm not gonna look it up for the link, but if you need still more convincing, search for Les(s) Miles' pep rallies where, surrounded by children, the coach drops all kinds of sailor-blue language.

    I won't resort to name calling like our fine example of class sparta49 did(see his pics), but here's a little something I whipped up for fun. (see pic)

    Get your tongue ready for a taste of your own medicine at the end of the season when Less Miles heads home to Michigan. Make no mistake: he's leaving.

    Enjoy the sloppy seconds while they last. And by the way BEAR BRYANT IS DEAD. :) couldn't resist :) And for the record if Miles leaves for Michigan at least it won't be for a in confrence rival. Saban really isn't to blame for leaving the AD that let him out of the six years left on his contractto go to Miami is really to blame. Call me old school but I believe in honoring your contractual obligations. I promise you he won't complete his contract at Bama either.     Oh and as for the 2003 National Championsip the problem isn't really with USC. It's this media lovefest with USC that gets everybody riled up. USC does not play as tough of a schedule as the SEC does.

    whatever, everyone at LSU hates saban, I am a VT fan all the way, went to baton rouge and watched them get killed but got to go on the field and meet shaq so it was worth it! Going to the game this weekend. Remember this name boys Tyrod Taylor, true freshman last week he had a qb rating of 125 or something... in his first game yeah future baby the future for our team

    Well, he left LSU for the Dolphins, so wouldn't that be sloppy thirds? And he coached with the Browns, Michigan State,etc; are we getting sloppy tenths? Believe it or not, even the Bear coached elsewhere before Bama....THEN he became great.....

    Yes, Bear Bryant is dead. So are Moses and George Washington. Can they not still affect people?
    ......and you and your fan base will blast him with everything you have, from hateful websites to doctored photos to t-shirts that read "We never liked you to begin with." Can't blame him, I'd leave too...

I gotta go make some of those to start selling. :) I'll give you 10% of the profits so you guys can make your Referee payroll while Saban is cleaning out the ole bank account till a better offer comes along. :) :) :) All this abuse.
