Holy crap 285 !!!!! That looks very aggressive.... ......................... what a bold and magnificent move........ it looks freakin awesome !!! I was thinking of doing mine in 'satin nero' powder coat, like I did on my 993TT...... but thought it would be frowned upon by the "keep it stock" purists......

Kudos to 285ferrari for the great new look..... ..............and having the coconuts to stand out from the others.... !!!!

BTW, 285 is going in the right direction IMO................. the more nero the better........ !!!

Just to tag along here... I need *one* (1) FRONT 355CH speedline Challenge wheel. Any color is fine, cosmetic condition is not important (as I'll be refinishing anyway), so long as it is straight and true. Anyone?

Thanks very much for the link! Alas, it's in Honk Kong, and $750 with shipping (though it appears to be brand new) is pretty pricey for this cheap b*stard. Hoping to find a less expensive, used one in the States....

Less than $750/ea? I think you're not being realistic about the scarcity and value of these rims. IMHO, they're $1200/ea without blinking.

 

Well, maybe I'm spoiled - I bought a used one about 15 months ago for $400, shipping included, from a dealer.

I can't bring myself to spend more - the alternative is to run 360 Challenge front rims, which I can get REALLY cheap, but then it would look kinda hokey (yeah, I know, I know). Too bad the 360 CH rear rims don't fit under a 355CH. Oh well.

i'm working with Volk right now to come out a few different wheels for the track and a few for the street enthusiasts... if anyone has any particular sizes/offsets you are looking for, please let me know... We are working to have the wheels available for the 348, 355, 360, & 430.

Eurospares in the UK have them at £295 - fully refurbished

 

...seems to be taking quite a while.

 

Wheels arrived ok from Spain.

Good condition apart from a very very small knock on the outer rim of one of the rears and the odd mark as you'd expect. Will set about getting them refurbished anyway. Having real problems finding anyone in the UK that will refurb / repair magnesium rims. What's the situation with these in the States?

 

I took my 355 magnesium rims to a local shop (ye old wheel shop, elkridge, md) and they were able to repair a place where there was material missing at the edge of the rim (about a 1/4" chunk was gone) by putting weld in there and then sanding. They told me that if the issue had been bigger like a dent or something, that there was a place near boston that specialized in refurbishing magnesium rims. I know this is kind of vague, but maybe it can help.

But... could you confirm to me if that "very very small knock" was on pictures I sent you before wheels leave from Spain? As we was speaking it has a little paint damage, but no knock, and no hit (I hope you understand my english). Is it possible that damage was on "transport" from Spain to UK?

I can sell you one challenge wheel. When I show pictures to Candellara he does not like one wheel because it has small damage (I agree). If you give me your e-mail, you can see the wheel and you can tell me if you are interested. I can not sell that wheel for use with a car, so if you want only to show it, for me it is fine.

OK, now I want mine repainted.

 

Ordered the new Goodyear F1 Assymetric. Can't comment on grip etc but they have a massive kerb protection ridge

Countless hours of meticulous finishing on these rims have really paid dividends as they look absolutely amazing in the flesh. Apologies for the photo's as the ride height looks very high and is a good 2 inches lower now (car had literally just been lowered off the jack and suspension not settled).
