So is there a drive planned this Sat. after SR? I understand there are going to be a bunch of Porsches coming to SR and BMW's as well. Anyway, want to bring the CS out and stretch her legs a little! :D

Yea, I think a "few" Porsches are coming down to SR. About 150 of them or so.

If there is a drive, anybody have an open seat for the drive (if there is one)? I know I haven't met nearly any of you, but I'll try to introduce myself to some of you if i get the chance! If you have come to SR in the last 6 months though, you have probably seen me. I am the kid w/ the DSLR who takes pictures of you as you take a left off the main street towards the lott. Baasha, are you bringing your CS?

man the meet that day was nice except for one thing and that thing still disturbs some of us today. I'm thinking of coming in the CS.

WOW I'm an idiot. I do remember now. I hadn't met him, but read all of those posts and he seemed like a great guy. I don't want to bring back bad memories, but did they ever find out what caused that?

No he's not talking about the Murci incident. March 24 certainly isn't a day I will ever forget, and I think for many of us that enjoy what our cars are capable of on our drives, whether wanted or not, it is so important for us to have a reminder that there's no such thing as being too safe. Arun, haven't seen the CS in a long time, with the wheels, it's certainly one of the best looking (and sounding) cars of the group.

They do realize that if they all showed up at once, through one entrance, it will cause a spectacular traffic jam ... of Porsches ... right :D ?

Let's see ... around 176" per car, times 150, equals 2200 feet. Assuming no space between bumpers, that's 4/10th's of a mile! In reality, it'll probably be closer to twice that. Perhaps they should try to come in through the two entryways, one train approaching from Stevens Creek and the other train via Winchester. That would make for a good photo-op too.

    I guess I should bring a camera.

Try three. The two you mentioned, and some could come down the main drag through the Row. That might cause some problems, but it will be fun to see!

hmm.. looks like the parking lot is going to be packed... perhaps we should use the other parking lots as well.. since we don't want any shoppers parking amongst the cars.. which could lead to trouble.. ala incident last year..

We might get in trouble for opening up the valet lot for the meet. Those rent-a-cops are viscous early Saturday morning. I was thinking the lots behind the actual "Row", but those usually have a good amount of cars in them that probably belong to employees.

It's OK if it's a bit wet. What, are we worried about water spots or something? :)
On the otherhand, driving SNKVNNM will guarantee I'll get wet so I'd likely not show up if it's raining. :(

I'd love to join the drive. Do any of the usual suspects have a spare seat? :)

hey guys we're still on.. the weather has been threatening but I'd love to get a drive going (mixed cars). A lot of folks will be heading home but if we can get a good group together there's plenty of interest in a drive;)

I don't know if there's anything better than a roadside seat to watch a bunch of Silicon Valley Sixspeedonliners driving on a wet road. Let me know where to set up my lawn chair and blender! (on the inside of the turn of course)
