I just got an invite in the mail an in-person tour of the new Lime Rock Club by Skip Barbe himself. Hmmm, I wondered, sounds neat, what could something like that go for? Well, starting at $110k and up from there. And if you pay that, *maybe* they will finally repair some of the course...

Limerock Park "the club" is to protect themselves from all the quality private clubs in the area like Drive and Race Club. This racetrack is fully permitted and going to happen! Feel free to drive up to Monticello and drive around on your SUV or whatever. You can see the track. Its got a lot of amazing attributes to it.

Plus Napolis is a member so maybe you will be catching the P4/5 on the track. Limerock Park is very old and doesn't look like it is in such great shape. Drive and race will be 3.7 miles and at limerock park the club you can't race whenever you want. Drive and Race is your place and welcome to race on any day of the week. I am not an employee of the company but simply believe in the project and don't want others to waste their hard earned money on crap.

That is interesting. I thought you already joined as I heard this from one of the meetings we had with Brian Redman with Michael at his club and stated in the Wall Street Journal

James Glickenhaus, a New York money manager and former movie producer, is an early joiner. One of his 10 Ferraris is a $4.5 million sports coupe custom made by famed coach builder Pininfarina SpA that can reach 233 mph, which he has driven on touring tracks in Spain, Germany and Italy. "When I drive it, I do it very carefully and can't afford to be around other people," Mr. Glickenhaus says.

    Ev,

I thought the same as you, but then I re-read what Jim said and it sounds like he is going up with another potential member in their UTE.

Lime Rock Club put on an event for us last week, and it was a good time. We ran some autocross and watched some Porsche club racing. I asked Skip if he wanted to do a couple laps in my mini, and when he said that he didn't drive on tracks anymore, i told him his name was now completely useless... priceless.

    Hi

Yes I am already a member and was taking up a friend who was a potential member and we had a great day and I think my friend is going to join as well. The track is fantastic 3.4 miles with the longest straight in the United States. It will have many great turns including a copy of the Cork Screw. The Club House will be fantastic and there will be Garages that you can leave cars in as well as many cool services. It's something you have to see for yourself and I really urge those interested to check it out. This is really a Motor Sports Country Club.

I am happy that you enjoyed the day up in Monticello. Were you able to take any photos of the facility? I would love to see how it looks and facinated on how the area is transforming.
The track is being done right and will be a real thrill for the weekend racer. Safety will be a focus as well as the use of technology that not many track have in the area.

Joey interested in D&RC? It's in Monticello.. I am sure you have a lot of family up there
