Keep strong ol boy. This will be a reason not to sell the Boxer, you will appreciate it more.My dads just been through chemo and it all looks ok only that the chemo has sort of stuffed up his kidneys but he is slowly recovering from that as well. When he was in hospital he told me he was thinking of getting a Testarossa as its been a dream of his ever since he first saw the car.I'm trying to convince him...

fight hard and do your own research too. Of course, do consider the source. I also agreee, laughter is a great medicine. There was a book about a guy who just rented comedy and went to comedy clubs. michael brown

Best wishes to you from Geneva Switzerland.

My father was diagnosed with the same in November. We are celebrating his 80th birthday in a couple of weeks.

He did chemio a few times, longer than one of his age would normally tolerate: he is a tough old bastard, now he takes these pills which cost 75 Euros each, one a day but the French (he is French) social security pays it all.
There is no telling how long this sand bags against flooding method will last.

The positive thing is that it has brought us closer: we sued to get on like Sadam Hussein and George dubya Bush but now we get on better: he actually looks like Saddam Hussein and I used to nickname him Saddam's evil twin (no I don't look like dubya):).

Like everyone else here Rob, I wish you a fast recovery.

I have been surrounded by friends going through C episodes of late. How about this for a frightening statistic: once you reach 50 you have a 1 in 3 chance of getting it!

However, 90+% of people recover and thereafter have a much, much lower risk of new occurrence. Modern drugs and radiation treatments are remarkably effective.

The Aussie healthcare system is amongst the best in the world and the doctors and nurses just so inspiring.

A mate of mine was diagnosed with colon cancer whilst living in Milan a few years back. They had to operate immediately, when he came round the first thing he saw was a cockroach crawling up the wall of his room!

He had advanced cancer with complications, had an awful chemo and radio regime but made a full recovery and is 100% fit today.

Rob, all the best with your recovery. You've obviously got heaps of people behind you 100% so you're not fighting alone. Hope and a positive attitude is definitely the best way to combat illness. My grandfather had prostate cancer a decade or so ago but with his very positive and no-nonsense attitude he got through it and now he's the most active and healthy 80 y/o around: a true inspiration. So don't let it get you down, there's plenty of life left in you - and MILFs to be found!
