nice find!
I just saw a Bizarrini in the San Diego Auto Museum in Balboa Park. It is one of three, and the only one with a Lamborghini V12. The others have a Chevy Corvette V8 (IIRC). I can't post pictures yet, but I will have some in another week or so.
hi, in your book bizzarrini, you quote 334 for pozzoli car, can you explain why it s 340 in reality ?
It s quite simple to explain, I was the only one who saw this car 6 or 7 years ago when the car was in cannes, and the previous owner did show me any papers, he just say; it s chassis 334 and because a plate was weld on the top of the chassis, I cannot read it. The plate weld was use for the brakes little thanks. Now the previous owner told me 334 by memoty without ckecking the papers, for the people who do understand the Bizzarrini, the chassis number is IA3 340, now in the memory of the owner, it s was IA 334, the owner was right it s 334, but it forget the last 0. I will post all the registrations papers later from 1968, and the car is still register to the name of Serge Pozzolli. Here the explication of the mistake in the first book, the new official book will be out soon. Thank you for your interest. Are you going to restore your car ?
Can you please tell us who you are as we don t known your car. It will be interesting to known how from a photo, you can state that the car is a fake
I don't think that this car has a fiberglass body... You see the damage on the front and the engine hood... Seems that's metal... The real number plate was 7967QG78. There was also an article in 1985(?) with photos of this car in a French magazine called Auto-Retro.
Yes, correct. It was the July issue 1984. I have this magazine. The pictures mostly show the orange car which is also on the cover. Just about three picutres of the black one. The orange one belonged to Jaques Lavost chassis # 301. He is member of the ISO/Bizzarrini Club for many years and I know him quite well. The body with the typical air vents on the side fenders and on the lower front are alone a clear indication that it is the late style fiberglass body made by Diomante in Turin. We have seen quite a few of these body types and we know Diomante is the only one fabricating them. Another indication are the metal rocker panels Iso Grifo style which are well seen in the Auto Retro picture. But this disscusion should be held in the ISO/Bizzarrini chat and not to bother the Ferrari owners with these matters.
Sorry to tell you but Biz 5300 fiberglass body have been made in USA in the past and Kutner use them in the past. Why you don t tell us your real identity, it s better than a pseudo. Me, my name is Philippe Olczyk, I own in the past more than 10 Bizzarrini, I ve discover many unrestore one, I ve wrote the book, and I m closing now the official Bizzarrini book 2008 with all the archives from Giotto and his chief mecanic Image Unavailable, Please Login
Sorry to tell you that your information is totally incorrect. Kuttner made use of fiberglass bodies but they look different to the Diomante ones. Kuttner's version used chassis#102 as a model. The one who bought all the remaining bodies is known to the ISO/Bizzarrini Club. So we all know the reality first hand. The discussion should be held in the ISO/Bizzarrini chat and not in the Ferrari one. It is inappropriate to bother the Ferrari owners with for them uninteresting matters. - period -
Hummm... I'm interested... please continue.. no need to force us all to subscribe to some other forum. This is in the "Other Italian" section anyway, so please continue..
I think that the Iso/Bizz club could possibly benefit from Philippe's information, and i also think Philippe would benefit by joining the club. Surprises and good results may come out of this so that ALL can benefit. In the meantime Claus, this is an "other Italian" section, and we would all welcome more photos and info on this great car.
Sorry, I don t speak with ghost. The one who bought all remaining bodies ( a joke ) built them and leave them outside to make them "look original"
Quite simple, I ve found the car at the attorney house of Bizzarrini, he had it for 35 years when he bought it in the court sale. Concerning the Iso/Bizz forum, if I recognise that some interesting people are there, I also sadly see that some of them have no knownlegde at all, and are there only to badmouth good cars. When you act in good faith, it s correct to make a mistake, but I feel that behind pseudo, some of them feel strong to post negatives comments. Some members have a very good knownledge of Bizzarrini ( you really never see them posting negatives comments ) but at the end, Giotto Bizzarrini give to me all his archives for the 2008 book, idem for his chief mecanic. And you always have jalousy, which of course is quite normal between experts who can buy a car and the one who can t ! A good exemple of bad behaviour on Iso forum is the car 340 ex Pozzolli, for many years people believe it was 334 because on the owner mistake to read correctly his own papers. Nobody call Flavien Marcais to ask him about the car from his grand father. Now, that the truth is show with the original CARTE GRISE from 1970, some idiots still ask questions. When it will be a obligation to post under your real identity, all the forums will become directly more interesting. Let s see the 2008 book, with more than 450 photos ( copyright paid ) and some unique documentation never been show before
No idea but a free book for you if you provide me the vin number and a 300 dpi photo. I m sorry but I don t known everythings ....LOL
it is 4109 the car my brother Sander bought in California in the mid eighties, this picture is taken when the I brought the car to Germany in the early nineties to the person who bought the car then from me. There where days I was happy getting rid of one of the seventy cars we then had. But that is life.
