don't be crazy, it is much cheaper for you to buy a black HW F50 than repainting your Maisto F50.

Well, this Ferrari started life as one kit back in November, but it ended up being part of 3 kits over the last 8 months. I can proudly say that as of today, it is finally finished for good. I hated way too much of this build, but when I look at it now, it looks fantastic. Here is what I did:

    1. Fujimi F430 Challenge kit
    2. Crazy Modeller Photo etch set
    3. Tamiya - Enzo turn signals
    4. Tamiya - Racing white paint - prepped to 12,000
    5. Final wax
    6. Stripped and painted wheels semi-gloss black - widened wheels by .05
    7. SMS Carbon for the engine bay
    8. SMS Photo etch seat belts
    9. E-Jan Emblems for the Ferrari badges and for the wheel centers
    10. All vents cut out for photo etch pieces
    11. SMS Faux Fabric used on interior pieces
    12. Tamiya tape used for rollbar padding
    13. Light panel line wash
    14. Lots of TLC

I hope you all enjoy the finished product!

What is your time cost for doing the whole thing? remove paint, sanding, spraying, polishing, etc.

Also, what is your cost for buying paint remover liquid, base coat, clear coat, etc......although a black paint is just 2.5USD.

    I can get a HW F50 for 7USD only new! that's 60HKD.

Yes. I made few for me.
But I am still working on the trans kits. I am kinda slammed with with projects I have to complete for other people before I finish the Novitec parts.

    Here you go
I have made a 360 too, but both of them had to be pretty much destroyed in order to be used as masters for creating moldings, which eventually will enable me to produce a limited run of transkits.
Also the car you see on the picture-I was not happy with the front bumper, so before the molds are made it will be modified.

Ok. Here it goes. Paying money for any Hot Wheels "super(laughable)elite" models borders on stupidity. They decided to play it smart though and the only way you can get the MS all black FXX is to shell out almost $300 for basically the same model as the $50 Elite (we are talking the lowest price you can get) plus some poor carbon fiber decals and carbon fiber base. Basically you pay over $200 for fancy packaging. Now if you are a real modeller you like to display your models and the package is usually remouved and stored somewhere in your basement. So here is what I suggest you do if you like to have a really cool black FXX.
Go on E-bay and find the cheapest black FXX Elite you can. I got one for little over $50 shipped to my door. Then you get some lacquer thiner and few q-tips and remove CAREFULLY all the graphics except the Ferrari emblems. Then again from E-bay(cheaper) or directly from www.msmcreation.com (I am not associated with them) purchase a decal sheet with the decals needed for Shumi's car.
The decals are a dream to work with and interact really good with decal solutions.
The result?!- You got yourself a pretty good looking Ferrari FXX just like the one Schumacher owns. And the best part? For just over $60.
(the car on the picture haven't been polished so it may look messy on the photo, but it is just fine already. It is just a picture taken before all the clean up was done)

I already have the wheels and the wing made, but I'll need a week or two more for the bumper and diffuser.
