A friend of mines wife came home yesterday and swore she saw a dark blue/black ford gt slammed into a pole in southern kansas city. Has anyone else heard about this? I hope its not true.

I've seen pics of a black/dark blue ford gt smashed recently. However, they do no appear to have been taken in the US (see tag on car)... I think it's just a coincidence... anyone else able to confirm or deny? - hopefully the latter...

Yep they look very much like NZ plates. Looks like a nasty smash.

Thats at Mission Hills CC, the gated bridge by the golf course. Whats the story, I see temp tags on the back and plastic on the seats. My neighbor just got a white/blue one, thats sad.........

I do not know the story but all I know is that it supposedly had 9 miles on the clock. Very sad.

I think this is 2 different cars, on different locations - check out the passenger door in the first pic compare to the other pics.
Besides, the car on the bridge has orange side markers whilst the first car
    has red.
    Sad stuff :(:(:(

I posted on another thread that my GT is a handful because it has no driver assist mode to switch on and off for track or street. It is 550 hp rear wheel drive with smaller rear wheels than the Z06 or Viper. It is ready to break loose at anytime if your not careful. It really does take an experienced driver to drive this car. It is so smooth that you don't realize your speed....especially in corners....until it is to late. Looks like both of these crashes were from driver error not being able to hold the rear end down.

Look at the plastic on the seats. That is from the factory! This car was probably coming home from the dealership. They leave the plastic and stickers on the cars to show the buyer that the hood and doors have never been opened. The plastic stays on the seats when delivered. I took mine out and stored them with the stickers.

Is this true; do you mean tire width or wheel size? The tires seem really wide.

FGT's came stock with 315/40-19's in the rear and 235/45-18's in the front. I don't know about the ZO6 or the Viper.

Yeah , i def saw this happen, the guy was driving from the country club and i guess he miscalculated the cars turning/braking ablity, he tried to turn into the bridge but instead he hit the pole, I was on my way out of my driveway when this happened

Yup, that's New Zealand alright. I remember because one of the new channels covered it and it showed two stupid teenage boys laughing at the driver...
