"Man Purse?"

Briefcase? Plenty of men carry them, especially in cities.

 

Bigger Pockets?

 

1) Cargo pants do the trick, lots of pockets.

2) Black, nylon fanny packs are OK, about 10 inches long. I travel with them all the time. Super handy for wallet, cell phone, digital camera, travel tickets, mints, passport and keys.

3) Give all your crap to the wife and let her lug it around for you.

 

I only carry a phone, car key/fob, driver's license and credit card.

If I have to have more stuff, backpack.

 

Back Pocket: Wallet
Front Right Pocket: keys and small vial of dramamine
Front Left Pocket: Cell

I dont see what else I would need to carry around.

If you need to have your checkbook on you that easily goes in your pocket as well.

If you need your camera thats what a neck strap is for.

Sunglasses go on your head or your shirts neckline.

If you are going on a trip and have lots of extra items then the fannypack or small backpack comes into play.

If its a lot of business items then its obviously the briefcase

 

Back pocket, Wallet: BAD!

When I am banging around in a big city, I keep my wallet in my front pocket (or in my belt pack). I carry an old wallet in my back pocket for the pick-pockets. It has a dollar or two hanging out the top. Inside there is a note that read F*** you, you lowlife thief! Never had one stolen from me, but it WILL happen someday.....Maybe I'll have to visit Johnny's home town

You're right.. I probably should keep in front pocket. Ive never had an incident so never really thought about it.

 

those man purse things that you strap on your body, dont even get those things, you would just transform into a girl...

its easy for girls, but we have to go threw this.

 

Just keep all that junk in your car, and drive wherever you go. See, a Ferrari makes a perfectly acceptable man-purse.

Wallet - stays with me(and I thought I was the only one who uses the front pocket. Those Manhattaners taught me well)
Checkbook - stays at home, most merchants look at checks as useless paper anyways, but when buying supplies from the wholesaler, it slips in the Franklin Planner.
Reading glasses - thankfully, I have 20/20
Sunglasses - My "Chevron" specials clip in my pocket or shirt somewhere when not in use.
Pen - in the Franklin Planner
Key ring - I do not operate a fleet of trucks or doors, so I lucked out there
car keys - Only the basics attached, stowed in pant pocket.
Mail - filed in the car somewhere, out of sight from prying eyes.
shopping lists - in the cell phone or if on paper, slips neatly in the Franklin Planner
Mentos, etc. - In the Franklin Planner

 

While the pickpocket/loss aspect looms large - the best reason to carry wallet in front pocket is actually for your back.

If you're sitting on your wallet, you're going to tilt.
If you're tilting a little, you're naturally inclined to "straighten" your upper back while driving, pushing pencil, etc..
If you're "straightening" your back under those circumstances, you're curving your spine sideways, while also putting pressure on your sciatic nerve.

Put wallet in front.

Your back will thank you.

Now, you remain free to tilt when your heart so desires, like when that hot little receptionist bends over and you want a better view, or, to *fart.*

I keep duplicates of glasses, pens, Mentos, etc, in each car. My phone, wallet & car keys are in pants (why wouldn't they be?). Anything else I carry, or for work I use a Kenneth Cole computer bag. i bought a man purse from office max - it actually a small travel bag with pockets for credit cards, zipped enclosures and places to store stuff. it works great and in my case with multiple cars - i can put everything in it and be trouble free....i think its made by samsonite or one of the luggage companies......pretty manly

As far as man purses go, it's pretty masculine.

Holds wallet/keys/cellphone/business cards/pens/PDA/sunglasses, all at once. You don't want to be schlepping all that around in your pockets!

Personally I have that (Perry Ellis Messenger bag) and I think it doesn't look too girly and will carry anything you could possibly need.

 

Here is what I use. (Red Ducati version) I like it because it is very slim and doesn't get in the way. It is very nice and everyone I meet asks me where I got it from. Girls I know think it is very cool and guys I know doesn't think it's "girly." I noticed that lots of men carry some kind of bag outside of US. I went to Tokyo last summer and it was normal thing over there. Same thing goes for Europe. But here in the San Diego, some people will look at you like "WTF?" So although people who have been outside of US will understand, people who have been confined inside of US will think otherwise.
