    I was wondering the same thing, is this a good way to get some idea of belt condition (like those nice pics above?) Or do belts that fail often look just fine visually?

    I don't think you can tell much from these. Also, I believe failures in these cars aren't usually from the belt shearing as much as other items in the belt path failing (i.e., water pump or tensioner bearings).

    Looks fine to me, but do not stray from changing at regular 3 to 5 year intervals regardless of how it looks.

    Experienced Ferrari mechanics have said that some failed belts look nearly perfect except for the break, so visual inspections can't be counted on.
