Yeah. I have been using the mitsu w series for past 2 years. Very good in terms of temp control and the 6 seperate compartments
really work well in daily use. I like the ice cube drawer too.

 

How often do you guys slide out? How do you recover it, with or without T/C & do you brake/throttle while it happens? FWD/RWD/4WD?

Is go-kart the cheapest way to do it? I definitely don't want to find myself wrapping around some trees in town.

definitely not often on the roads, for me anyway..

Braking is a big no-no, and throttle modulation and steering control is where its at. The current Ferrari and Maserati T/C is pretty good and does allow (in sport mode usually) a small slide before saving you from embarassment and a huge bill!

You can throttle out in a FWD while easing off smoothly is best for RWD. 4WD can be saved from lurid angles...

Go-kart is good and fun as its instinctive but somehow i don't think e 'skill' will transfer over to a 'normal' car.

Wrt the video, i think the latest technology employed in the Scuderia also helps his show-boating as the F1-trac from the 599 now works in conjunction with e E-diff first found on the F430... electro-techno-wizardry

 

I know on some earlier mid-engine RWD Ferraris such as 355 & 348 have the tendency to spin if you lift off @ the crucial moment.

I couldn't slide my G very much with the T/C on, u can hear the trans working & the lighted arrow sign but that's probably becos I entered too slow but it was always easy to recover. I sat in Rara's bro-in-law's G who's an ex-racer, he switched it off & it was sliding the butt off @ every corners (The G don't allow 100% TC off) but never losing it. We returned to the pitstop with smoke coming out of the rear for few mins!

On my Murcie, I counter locked a few times & went in one too fast & it suddenly broke lose, almost spun out & ended up sliding into a grass patch then drove out again. I'm still trying to figure if I had held on to my counter-lock & throttle a little, would I glide & recover? Can't find a place & car to practise so far. I don't know about u guys but I think it's quite fun sliding & spinning around but in a "safe" environment & of course a cheap car

 

Guys, watching channel 87 on Starhub now. Gumball 3000. Great stuff. Racers going thru Barcelona evading
the local police with radar detectors and backroads and going full tilt along the highway while road blocks are
set up to fine them. Couple of cars slowed down at road block and pretended to turn off to sidelane while
actually accelerating off again! Nice cars BMW M5 Polizei, Merc SL55, CL3000, Stradale, 360 Spider, 911 turbos,
Enzo, M3, 430, etc. Saw a 360 coupe with the entire front sheared off due to accident.

 

This week has been super hectic. Running in the SICC elections. Results will be out tom night.
I super tired now. Cannot even bring myself to go for the HSM Scuderia dinner tonight.
