It says that this car is faster than an Enzo around fiorano, holly sh*t wowww Does anybody know by how much it is faster? therefore that makes this car the fastest road car ferrari has ever produced, and it would mean that this car is only slower than bugatti veyron and koenigs egg CCX but only in a straight line but it would beat them around a track.
well, not quite......the secret lies in the tires. the scuderia has cup tires, which have way more grip than the original tires of the enzo. furthermore, the fiorano track is more suited to the scuderia than the enzo....it has to do with power delivery and max. speed. the 997 gt2 did the NB ring in the same time as the carrera gt....is it faster ? i doubt it. again the cup tires on the gt2 gave it the edge. slap these tires on an enzo or a cgt and you will see the light. the geometry of the enzo chassis is newer than the geometry of the scuderia. the scud is based on the 360 modena layout... just as in f1, where different setups suit certain tracks better.
I was skeptical about the 430S being that much better until I watched that video. The transmission is absolutely out of this world. Chris is right, that is a very special car indeed. It sure seems like Ferrari can do no wrong these days.
I guess it depends on the track.. On a small tight track Scuderia probably can deliever Enzo times but on a longer track with lots of straight accelleration possibilities the Enzo should be faster, like on the Nürnburgring. Regarding the Carrera GT vs. GT2 times - who cares. Carrera GT over GT2 any day. But I have to admit it, the performance of the GT2 is mindblowing. Edit; The gearbox is unreal!!
GT2 when Walter Rohl was being interview awas out of the box and on street tires, not R spec R compounds, it ran a 7:31-2 and the CGT with R compounds walter Rohl got it to do 7:28
