Anybody else ever try these? Were they comfortable? Did they last a long time? Image Unavailable, Please Login
Probably the oldest American Shoe Company still in business. Good, basic work shoes with or without safety toes.
Buddy of mine swears by 'em. He also swears when he's nowhere near 'em, but, that's beside the point.
I worked in the restaurant business for 8 years before going into IT, and i swore by Red Wing shoes. I stood for 12-14 hours a day, no issues. Definitely worth the money
'...Red Wing...' REDWINGS people!!...sheesh, am I the only one to have experienced this misfortune?? Image Unavailable, Please Login
These are US made. Perhaps they'll become collectable! But obviously (see pic) they are shipped all over the planet. Somehow, I just can't see people in some of these places wearing the romeo shoe... Image Unavailable, Please Login

And they might be more comfortable, dammit! Johnny, you ever get the Redwings??? Hmmmmm??? Post a pic, you poseur...
Nearly all the guys at my work wear these goretex lined Redwings. They report them to be truly waterproof. I prefer the titanium toe Timberland boots but I'll be trying the Redwings next time around. Image Unavailable, Please Login
A good friend of mine got started with Red Wing shoes because he landscaped when we were in High School and all the landscapers he worked with swore by them. I thought he was nuts. But he says his Red Wings are the ONLY shoes he ever gets resoled or repaired by a cobbler. All his other shoes are disposable. I think he used to send them back to the factory? I know he would sent beat worn out shoes and they came back looking new but still supple and 'broken in'
Why don't you just go find some new shoes, like some Chuck Taylors? You might just be able to find some info about them around somewhere....
