If this is true, I will be at the Toyota dealership putting a deposit on their new supercar.

    Do they have any?

I thought the last decent Toyota was the Supra.

If it's true it'll be because he believes he has a chance of winning the WC with Ferrari but probably not with Renault.

I agree that is probably makes more sense to go to Renault if your goal is to be the #1 driver, but he isn't leaving a team where he is a joint #1 because of Ron Dennis' preference of Lewis, and if he does go to Ferrari as a joint #1, it will be pretty clear from the outset that there are no favorites or else they would not have signed him in the first place, and I think both Kimi and Fernando can deal with that. Just because he would be the #1 driver at Renault does not mean he would be in a car relatively capable of giving him the WDC. It did take a while for Renault to start winning regularly after Fernando joined the team.

It would be fun to see him go back to Renault and put a third team in contention for the championships, though.

Maybe Kimi is going back to Mclaren, since the car is faster and more reliable. Of course that is why he went to Ferrari.

Kimi doesn't care who his team mate is. Note how he didn't care about having the yellow camera on his car. He is committed to doing things his own way. Some people don't like him for that, but he seems to have a ton of fans. Hopefully Kimi wins the title this year, if he does, there is no one who will stop him next year, regardless of who is in what car.

    Agreed.

If Alonso does replace Massa, it will be Alonso who will have more trouble dealing with a co-number 1 status teammate. Kimi probably couldn't care less.

    From ITV

But both Ferrari drivers dismissed this possibility in their media briefings in Japan, with Kimi Raikkonen saying the Alonso-to-Ferrari rumours were "just talk".

"It would interesting to race him in the same car," Raikkonen said.

"But I don't think it is going to happen."

Well nice meeting you. I absolutely am a Massa fan. Whatever the word is that is opposite of the word fan would describe my opinion of Alonso.

I'll bet it's true. Why aren't the LDM's coming out and denying it? Todt's clamming up because he's probably gonzo.

He is not a hater. He is REAL FERRARI FAN. I wouldn't want that cancer Alonshole on my team even if it is racing box cars down a hill
