been driving it all week,nice old thing to ride around in,my little little King Charles Spaniel (Terry) enjoys the front seat ride.Last couple of days heve been full on,bone marrow(ouch),surgeon ree tumour and repair and today a PET scan.
Tomorrow is a big day,fingers crossed that the battle can be won.Thankyou gang for all your kind words and support it means a lot to me.Let us pray no one else will need to start a thread like this again regards Rob Bailey.

Hi friends,

just updating you on Rob's results.

He came back from Peter Mac today with some positive news about the progress of the lymphoma.

- 50% of people with it will be cured completely
- 70% of people live beyond 3,5, or 7 years - but Rob is invincible!!!

He will start chemo next week and has ordered Nurse Lovely. The next few months will test him, and be quite yucky, however i'm sure he will keep on fighting.

He will have access to his internet at the hospital. He will be there for 4 days at a time, every 3 weeks over the next 4-6 months. No further tumours were found in his body, however, 9/10 cases the tumours are tiny and cannot be detected. They can be found via chest or stomach biopsy but he has decided to start chemo straight away.

There was no cancer found in his bone marrow, and the specialist is of the opinion that he is at a very early stage of the lymphoma.

Rob asked the question (not that he would) if he just rubbed a tonic on his body, how long would i live? The doctor said about 3-6 months (without treatment)

He's being very positive, and will be fighting as much as possible.

great news Catherine, is he allowed to use his mobile ?

 

chemo is awful Rob. You will feel and look like sh*t. Friends of mine have said, "I didn't feel sick from the cancer, only from the treatment!"

But it is highly effective and the side effects disappear a few days after the treatment ends.

I'm sure you'll be in the 50% complete cure group.
