Where is the problem? When you have money in russia you have so mcuh thqat that is no question. And there you don`t pay so much for houses ........And we pay in germany around 125k for a X5.

 

Don't pay so much for houses? . Good apartment (3 rooms, 100 m2 ) in good place in moscow costs about 1 mln $...

No . In Russia there is a big middle class ( about 10-15k $ per month) ... Not all "Oligarch" .

Those who are car enthusiasts give a s**t because a Z06 Corvette cost 70k USD in US and 300k+ in Denmark, Norway, South-Africa etc... Or 500.000 $ for a F430 Spider... There is no direct problem, just not justified prices for performance and luxury car. 150k USD for a X5 here where I live... It makes me sick...

Dude ... Moscow is THE most expensive city in the world. Not top 10 or top 5, the most expensive. More than London, NY, Paris, Hong Kong

Also, if Russia's middle class earn over $10K per month, then it's a far wealthier country than I realised (maybe I'm just ignorant) - in the UK, the average income is about US $5K per month!

+1 - I recently visited some friends in Singapore, I'd assumed cars were cheap there as when I arrived at their apartment, the parking area was full of nice cars including Bentley's (a Conti GT and an Arnage), Porsches (including a then-new 997 GT3), a Maserati Quattroporte. When they told me how expensive cars are in Singapore, I was absolutely gobsmacked!!

 

Property in moscow is deff more expensive then in singapore, When i was there.. i was suprised how expensive everything was ..
,well cars in sgp are expensive... cayenne turbo would ard 300K USD.. ard there or 500k Sing dollars.

WOW!! I just was on BMW's US site and can't build a 4.8 X5 for more than $80,000 US. Total came to $79,320 with all the add-ons. Funny that they can build it in Germany, put it on a boat and float it across the Atlantic ocean and sell it cheaper in the US than in Germany. Even with sales tax it come to a bit over $84,000 usd

 

No floating involved - all X5's are built in South Carolina....
