I had a question for all those F50 enthusiast out there...

Does anyone have information about the F50 Blondie "Tub" that was given to the Sultan of Brunei?

I know a little about it but haven’t been able to find out any detailed information on it. Is it simply the F50 with a different body style on it? Dose it have F50 serial number? I saw a picture of it once, and didn’t save it when I saw it, dose anyone out there have a picture of it?

I believe you are refering to the Bolide concept, and it was actually just a mock up, it was not actually a real car.

OK. So it was just a concept car, not a different styling of an actual F50 ordered by the Sultan. These are all things I have known, I was just curious if any had any actual info on it, but I would guess not if it wasn’t actually a working vehicle. Being a one of a kind, it does beg the question of "Where is it now?". Probably collecting dust in the back of one of his forgotten warehouses. Thanks

He didn't run out of money any more than Brunei ran out of oil. He simply decided that brother Jefri and his nephew were spending ridiculous amounts of money on cars. When one buys a Ferrari model in every single color "just because" and the other tries to outdo him by ordering a 24k gold-plated 512 TR, someone needs to put their foot down. And that's just what he did.

he didn't run out of money, but there were definte and sever financial issues going on that happened to coincide with the reduction of vehicle pruchases.

brunei was attempting to do what dubai is doing today. unfortunately for brunei, they haven't been anywhere near as sucessful as dubai.

Brunei isnt trying to become Dubai, Brunei is trying to get it's a** out of billions of dollars of debt. Prince Jefri really did a number on Brunei's economy.

Dubai is a playground for the rich and Brunei is a country made up of citizens who are generally lower income but have an enormously rich sultan which is why Brunei's average income is so high. The two countries arent really comparable. There are individuals in Dubai with car collections in the triple digits but nothing like the Brunei collection.
