I agree with Moretti as regards your Moderation fair it wouldn,t do for use to be all agreeing. It is said that civilised man seeks out good and intelligent company, so by learned discourse he may rise above the savage and closer to God" "Personally, however, I like to start the day with a total dickhead, to remind me I'm best"
There are certain things we can't tolerate, but apart from the ground rules any comment or opinion is fair game. That standard is defined in the FChat rules and set by Rob. Personally I'm happy we have a lot of critical folks on here. I wouldn't be interested in a bunch of yesmen.
So in 3 races, it wasn't possible to have Hamilton and Alonso, either not finish in the points, have a mechanical issue, have a mis step in the pits, trip over a back marker, have a challenging car collide with them, have a mental slip and slide off? Wow, considering most of that has already happened this year at some point, it does seem possible. I don't care what your posts have been like in the last x number of years, your posts in this thread are bias, uninformed and in some cases wrong. How is pointing that out "showing colours"? Yeah you've been wrong a few times and then try to back up your incorrect statements. You posting words from someone else that contradict what you've already posted doesn't make you right. On all levels of thought, that makes you wrong. That never happened. All emails were sent out according the regulations. Ferrari never claimed that the manner of sending or receiving the emails was wrong, just late. I have no idea where you got that info but again it's dead wrong.
You show no articles, no quotes other that what has already been posted and is widely known. Where's the "bomb" from McLaren stating they informed them of the gearbox? Also if they didn't think it was a major change, why bother informing anyone? They can play both sides of the field and they were already investigated and found to be in violation of the FIA. If this situation with Ferrari shows the same or a different kind of violation of the rules, let Ferrari be punished. I've said that about four times now. As it looks now, there will be no punishment as the FIA has already agreed to change the email system delivery system. The comparison is weak because one team developed something over a long period of time that should have been crash tested before being used in a race and was not. The second team didn't receive and email that would have stopped the ball from rolling in the wrong direction and since the FIA hasn't ruled against Ferrari, there must be no reason to. One team broke the rules and the second team didn't. It can't be any clearer than that. And you're the one accusing Ferrari of breaking rules, misleading and whatnot, I'm pointing out that that isn't the case and you're wrong about it. Where have I been wrong about the facts here? I posted anything that hasn't been posted on all of the F1 websites. After they were caught? Before? Post a link to this report. Not comparable at all. I in no way said Ferrari was being picked on, find that quote from me. You putting words in my mouth and no answering point blank questions speaks volumes. Answer my questions from previous posts, I answer yours. And I never punished McLaren, the FIA punished McLaren within their rules and are satisfied, who am I to disagree? Again no articles, no quotes from known people in F1. Once again, who is under attack? You post misinformation and I point it out, you characterize me as a bad apple because of it. To me it doesn't make any sense. Just like that guy dretceterini who post after post claims that Ferrari broke the rules and started calling people morons. I corrected him with his own words. Where did I call you a lier? Point that quote out to me. You don't post quotes, you post "paraphrasing" without dates, without peoples names. It seems that you are attacking and I'm defending. Again point out where I called you a lier. Answer the questions from my previous posts. {I doubt that will happen, you've been dodging them}. Again, you claim I'm upset when you're posting while putting words in my mouth and this isn't the first time you brought up anger. Yesterday I was eating my lunch and today I'm eating breakfast. If I was upset, I doubt I would be eating and if I was upset it would show up im my posts. I hope your blood pressure isn't rising, that wold be a poor sign. Also as your posts grow so do your spelling mistakes, that could be a sign of typing too fast, perhaps in anger? Since you have a hard time understanding those words, the email system was only used for this year. So your statement of points to a Ferrari plan to mislead the officials. As it turns out, it was not so. Where's that crow for you?
The unscheduled pitstop that put him and Kimi at the back of the pack. Did you even watch the race or just read about it?
it's funny that alot of you are going back and forth about this........ we all knew Ferrari wasn't going to recieve any kind of punishment........ had it been another team, then yes.....a punishment would have been in order..... it is what it is........
+1 Unfortunately, some folks here think that if you express an opinion contrary to the officially accepted party line, you must actually be a closet McLaren fan. Some here are not actually interested in discussing motorsports and debating opinions, it appears.
Depending on the IT group at Ferrari, their email system updates at a certain time interval. For Ferrari it was about 30 minutes, it's cheaper not to update every minute or so, plus with their overall lack of email traffic, they are a very small company, there is no reason to have the email server update that often. The FIA has inspected the email that was sent to Ferrari, the headers of every email sent have the sent and received time attached to them, and the email itself proved beyond any doubt that Ferrari didn't receive it on time... Now anyone here to wants to dispute this is an idiot searching for a reason to condemn Ferrari which is stupid as the FIA wrote an apology to Ferrari for this and has agreed for everyone's sake to make announcements via email and in person for that very reason... Anyone who thinks there is something else involved in this is an idiot.... BTW, SRT Mike, What's your beef???
Talk about favoratism. The whole sport was put upside down because they were tired of seeing Ferrari win. And then when someone actually cheats they are let go until everybody complained and started critisizing the F1 administration. What do they go do, bring them back after having clear evidence of the fact that they had these documents, and all they get as a penalty is there constructors points taken away and a large fine. Everyone knows that the constructors title is not the primary bread winner for F1, its the drivers title. So to save face and not loose the crowds the drivers kept their points. I call that unfair. Had Ferrari been in that situation, they would have been penalties given for the next 3 years. As for the cheating comment, if they did cheat, it was the most stupid move in the history of F1, it caused them to start in the back and pretty much made them loose their shot at the world title. I doubt that was their goal.
He seems to be missing information and with that info coming to light, he turns to antics in hops of distracting attention for the questions. That's why so few of my questions have been answered. I bet he'll log on and call you angry now.
The FIA have proof the email wasn't delivered and yet McLaren fans say it a conspiracy... It's like when you take a horse to a large pond of pure water and yet they die from de-hydration. As my mother (doctor) used to say, "The world was built for the stupid"
I'm a moron? Nice personal attack there sweettits. Is your name Art? And how do you know what I know about Fcar history? Now this is a moronic statement.
1. They will probably win the WDC with a McFerrari car where the technology wasn't paid for which saves them millions in R & D. 2. They claim to be high and mighty and yet I haven't met any man on the planet who would rather own a Mercedes over a Ferrari. 3. According to Consumer Reports Mercedes is the worst car for reliability on the planet. 4. Half of their team will be in jail for international industrial espionage (which carries the death penalty) 5. They have the best driver in the business who hates them so much he's leaving and would like to drive a Ferrari. 6. They hired a smart ass young driver who is probably going to live a short life due to a racing accident spurred on by the other drivers. 7. They are going to have to pay Ferrari billions for stolen proprietary information, in fact RD has already offered Ferrari 3 billion to go away according to inside Ferrari sources (Read J.T.) 8. They hate Ferrari because of their success and the fact that everyone who is someone owns a Ferrari or wants a Ferrari. (Sultan of Brunei is on the two year waiting list for a 599) .......
Some can be led to water but not drink. Many times. So I am going to stop taking them on that journey. I get weary.
This is not the first time, but I'll ask you again since you are quoting me again. How is my post relevant to yours? I say one thing, you keep trolling on another. I thing those MB fumes are getting to you man.
I have no problem with people being critical of Ferrari. Not at all. I do have a problem with being critical of Ferrari (or any team whatsoever) without basing it on fact or even a thought through argument. Since then being critical is nothing more than bashing. And I believe a forum shouldn´t condone bashing, let alone stimulating it.
... the rain diminished very quickly, and Ferrari took a commanding lead and then finished 1-2? would a penalty for "not reading" an e-mail have been justified in that case? The penalty should be based on the infraction, NOT the results of happenstance. The "proper" response is to for the FIA to strip the points (driver and team) for this race....BUT that would leave a lame duck setting for the remaining two races (by handing the WDC to one of Mclaren's drivers) and therefore counter productive to the world viewing audience.
you seem to be enamored with labelling those whose opinions differ than yours as being a McLaren supporter. I have a Ferrari in my garage, do you?
I am NOT a McLaren fan! I am not a Ferrari fan either. In fact, it's gotten to the point that I really don't care much about F1 at all....but this constant BS race after race angers me just out of general principles. Bernie and Max and all the politics have made F1 as bad or worse than nASScrap!
First let me quote another fellow f-chatter first >If my aunt had balls ,she would be my uncle< Then again, if you read everything posted earlier, it would be really easy to understand that FIA f-up and it wasn't Ferrari just not reading their e-mail. Besides actually they would have finished 1-2 IF they were on the same tires as everyone else.
Hey so does Paris Hilton. And Puff Daddy(or whatever he calls himself today) and bunch of other "stars". You should all get together and measure your d!@*s and determine who among you is the biggest Ferrari fan based on who has more "bling" for wheels. A lot of people don't have Ferraris and are ten times the Ferrari fan you will ever be even if you buy their entire line. And I am making this statement NOT based on you expressing different opinions but based on your overall attitude and the arguments you often start in here.Let's not forget you being one of the loudest McCheaters apologists. Having a Ferrari(or not) does not make more of a fan or not.And just FYI IF I want I could buy one, but all it going to give me at this point is plain bragging rights. And I have a lot bigger fish to fry first.
