I only have experience with the DB7 Vantage . I loved the line , the atmosphere and the sound of the engine . Driving wise , a 911 was more fun. Im sure the V8 Vantage is more fun as its nimbler, lighter and was developped on a track ..This one seems to be fairly priced , not sure if there is still a waiting list? Color is a bit on the boring side but that can be a plus depending where you live and if its going to be your DD.

I would actually consider one instead of my 997 C4S if it werent for Chicago winter ( or a Maserati Gransport which is more beautiful than both ..and a true 2+2 )..

The paint on the passenger door doesn't match the front fender, and they only show 1 set of keys/fob.

I've not been very impressed with most of the little warehouse/shop dealerships. If you're going to buy an auction car, why not just bypass the middleman by going direct to Manheim (several Fchatters can give you access) or put your own bid in to an exotic lease company for their vehicles as they come off lease (e.g. Premier Financial Services)?

I think the V8 Vantage is one of the best looking cars on the market today. With that being said, they have yet to prove themselves in terms of reliability. I'm not sure if it's worth saving the extra few thousand by purchasing a "buy-back" car that has already obviously had many issues. BTW, I own one of those Range Rusters...but mine's aluminum so it won't rust : )

Thanks for the responses. I really like the lines . I also like the uniqueness of the AM. There are at least 20 Poeshces in my neighborhood including several new cab turbos- but no AMs. I am concerned about the reliability though. I agree with the color on the door. Might be just the photograph, but I am going to check out personally this weekend.

My biz partner has a Vantage. He's had it for about 16 months and put ~20k miles on it as his daily driver. Its been in the shop for a few days here and there for minor things like malfunctioning nav and some bubbling leather, but nothing debilitating. He really likes it.
