Geez, this has got to be one of the most boring speeches I've ever heard and one of the worst tapes I've ever seen. After 4 minutes of this torture I gave up. Did anybody actually listen to the end of this dork's presentation?
Just in case it sells out on the first day, you won't have to check with the store every day just to get yours. If you don't care when you get your hands on it, then it doesn't matter whether you pre-order or not. It will probably be on some store shelves for walk-in customers, and should be available in a second shipment, if the first shipment sells out. ~shahedc.
Has anyone tried Forza Motorsport 2? I just bought it and IT SUCKED! The car proportions look so wrong, the steering feel is not as good at Gran Turismo and other small irritations. Waste of time and money. After reading reviews I figured it would be very good but it didn't do it for me at least.
Discussed here: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=153665 I thought it was almost as good as GT4. FFB on the MS wheel is pretty good, but it doesn't have as many interesting (read real) tracks as GT4.
Wow, I completely disagree... have you tried the MS wireless wheel with force feedback? The Forza race structure and cars are definitely better than GT (in my opinion), and even the XBox360 controller works infinitely than better than the PS2/3 controller any day. I also race with other working professionals online, so it has been a very good experience for me. If you simply prefer the GT series, you can get a GT demo on PS3, and a new demo this winter, and the full version next year. If you just don't like simulations, and want more racing games on the XBox360, you can try PGR3 right now, and PGR4 should be out soon... ~shahedc .
So the Microsoft wheel is a must-have? I'll get it this or next weekend and give the game a new try. I do like simulations, but some of these games do tend to get boring over time if the difficulty level is too high. I have the GT HD demo on PS3 I have PGR3, it has a lot of fun factor - which is suiting me better these days because I have little time to get in too the game and just want some easy fun. Perhaps I'm alone about this but apart from the touring cars, I don't like tuned vehicles in a serious game - gets a little ricey. Either way, thank you for a long reply
MS wheel is a must. Forza 2 has various ways to adjust the level: You can select different levels for the AI cars, you can turn on/off various electronic driving aids and you can upgrade your car. Basically you can win any race if you want to.
Here is the game manual http://www.edelman-monitoring.es/microsoft/Project%20Gotham%20Racing%204/Manual%20PGR%204/PGR4_Manual_Final.pdf
I see what you mean, you just have to accept that the 2 games are like apples and oranges. Then enjoy them both! (Or just pick the one you prefer) Yep. But I'll let you decide for yourself. Buy it from a store where you can return it in case you don't like it. ~shahedc .
Quick Note* PGR4 releases next Tuesday. Oct. 12 for the European members. Also, if you didn't know, Activision has bought Bizarre Creations, meaning they will no longer be doing anymore PGR titles. They plan to do another racing game in 2009. Microsoft, on the other hand, wishes to continue the series, but has not expressed how yet. PGR4 DLC will still be done by BC.
That's cool.. better to stop the series while they are still on top. From the first MSR game on Sega Dreamcast... to these 4 PGR games on the Xbox/360 platform, Bizarre has done a great job on racing games. Whatever happens, someone somewhere will always be making some awesome games for us to play! And if you ever reach a point where are no good games to play, it means that you're (finally!) too old for all this, and you should go back to watching Jeopardy... (NOTE: I actually enjoy watching Jeopardy if I come across it while flipping through channels) ~shahedc .
I disagree thinking back on how Hasbro killed of "Grand Prix" for the PC. Used to be the best F1 racing game for 4 editions. Once they took over, they stoped development and now it is a lousy console game.
Hey, here's the full commercial, with the Ferrari crash removed! http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/splash/p/projectgothamracing4/ ~shahedc.
i thought that was really cool and really shows off the graphical capabilities of the 360, i am going to miss this series very much and hopefully another game can take its place for the next round, besides pgr there are really no other games like it, with TDU being completely free roam and forza being tracks only (besides Ny which doesn't count) someone will really need to fill the void
I remember a time when the Need for Speed series would have... but then they went all street-racer, rice-burner and now suck.
yeh, NFS was good years ago, my favorite game on playstation was nfs hot pursuit with that little town and a 355f1 it was such a great game and now look at it
i hate game companies, i was thinking i could get PGR4 tomorrow only to remember TDU launch when they say a game "ships" on tuesday you cant get it until wednesday and i was getting all excited for tomorrow, shouldn't they tell you when you can actually buy it the shipping date doesn't help much
Went to Walmart (God I hate that place) on my way to work this morning... nothing. Said they won't have them until tomorrow, at the earliest
Wow, im really mad. All day i was sitting in school thinking of getting it. Then i come home and of course no PGR
