Because they only borrow up to $1 mill. I need MORE!! P.S- PM me your home address mate and I will send ya your Brotherhood cap. Such a cool cap, I am thinking of keeping it and having a spare one, just in case I wear mine out.
Some pics of my car from yesterday. 1st 'spirited' drive since returning home from holidays. Boy did I miss Betsy for those 3 weeks. I also took a friends young fella, Jeremy for his 1st Ferrari drive. The boy is 9yrs old! He has been a Ferrari fan since he can remember. He started watching F1 on tv when he was a baby. LOVES Ferraris. I am also his 2nd favourite person he said. You and the car look great... the boy seems a little scared tho How is life down under after your trip across the large pond?.............
Cheers mate! Wanna buy it? California is lovely. This place sucks dogs balls. Cheers mate!! The young fella was actually scaring me! Wanted me to crack the double tonne (200km/h) everywhere. I did.............once. Depressing...........
Yeah, he said I should have bought a 355CH....... The rest of ya's were smart and went to Uni and became a 'somebody' while living in the "big smoke". The rest of us are dumb ****ers and didnt go to Uni and are still here earning big cash in the "bush". Find me a job paying $100K on the Gold Coast JM and I will be the first knuckle dragger there. For the time being, I have to live here to support my habit.
Pap...this thread got me thinking that when i got to college in a couple of months. Im gonna make a thread called: College Life and post all the pics of the drunk chicks and parties that go down...of course blur thier faces, but body's are perfectly fine.
And yes, I did actually mean Mount Isa is depressing, NOT Australia. Other than that, Australia is a beautiful Country.
Perhaps a WEEKEND AT JOHN'S thread is in order. Sounds like you have ambition young fella. Make sure you stick with it.
Haha...of course. I got my goals straight, do my best keeping everything good. hmmm....Weekend in Room 108B I like that.
no no no pappy, you missed the whole point I've worked in Mt Isa as well as a few other mining towns (Kambalda comes to mind for the arsehole of the universe) so it's got nothing to do with being smart, it's got to do with your choice of location and comparing it to the fantastic time you had in the US. You could have gone ANYWHERE in the world and it would seem great compared to Mt Isa (which is not that bad compared to some of the other mining towns in Oz, or the world), you're bored with the place, time to move on dude ..... the smartest person I met in my life never finished grade 9, I 'taught' him algebra and calculus in one afternoon in the RAAF and the next day he came up with an idea for calibrating accelerometers for the inertial navigation systems on the F111 from the 'information' I gave him, God only knows what he would have done with a uni education other people amaze me they can tie their shoelaces without help
mate, go to Kalgoolie, drive for 2 hours into the Martian desert, and you'll come across a little gold mine in a "town" called Kambalda .... see if you can find it on the map THAT would be depressing
it's balance mate - lifestyle vs income. it would seem we're at opposite ends of the spectrum - the higher-density city I go, the more I can make, but I have to live shoulder to shoulder with too many of this useless species... whereas YOU rake it in based on how remote and sh!tty the place you have to live is. If there was some place that was like a cross between Melbourne and Adelaide, that would be perfect for me. can't you get a FIFO arrangement so you can live on the Gold Coast?
FIFO is the option and I can do it now. But Nicole does not want me to. She would love to live on GC, but still wants to keep her same wage also. Well, I can earn around $30K more, but she will probably have to take a paycut looking for work down there somewhere. But, Pappy will have to eventually do it. Dont worry about that.
And now that you mention it. I saw a mate last night, that I havent seen in years. He has been living in Brisbane, "living the life man" for the last 8 years or so. He is 28 yrs old. He has moved back here, cause he is sick of NOT having any money and working for peanuts. You cannot get this sort of money in Brisbane. (his exact words btw). His Dad works in the Mines and he got him a job easily, cause my mate does not need any accom. He has no Uni degree, been working crap jobs in Brissy for many many years. Now.........he is back here, living with his parents and working in the Mines. He owns an old Holden HZ ute too. Seeing/hearing guys like him struggle (till now) really makes me appreciate the money we earn out here, which is why I am smart with my money and invest wisely. Living the good life is no good to you when you have to work for the rest of your life to pay off a shoe box sized house in the burbs in Brisbane man. A balance is perfect and is whats needed, for everyone in life. I have friends in Brissy that can barely afford to live there, but will not leave that place to get better paying jobs elsewhere cause they love the social scene too much. These are the clowns that sit there and think I am rich or drug dealer cause I own a Ferrari and a bunch of investment properties. I was actually asked at my 10 yr school renuion in Brisbane last week if I was a drug dealer.
are you ?? seriously, everyone with a Ferrari is a drug dealer, we all know it and it's time to own up to it ... a bit like AA where you have to admit to being a drunk Why not work in the mines near the coast in WA ? The trouble with the Isa is apart from Lake Moondarah it's a dustbowl
In my youth JM..............in my youth. Nah, I despise drugs dealers!!! They sit around all day and get gimps to sell their drugs and they make a fortune! IM JEALOUS! WA would be good! They actually pay more over that way. I think I would still rather live in the best State, QLD and the best city, the Gold Coast. So I will eventually FIFO from there. Had a mate that was FIFO from Cannington Mine from Townsville. He then had to pay his own way to Cooli airport, because he didnt want to live in Townsville. Cannington only flys to Townsville, not Brissy. They do 7 on 7 off, for the same money I am on. So I think they will be the guys I will be hounding for a job. My work mates brother is the Maintenance SuperIntendant there, so it will be easy to get a job.
Nicole could supplement her wage by being a Gold Coast Meter Maid - she has the body and the looks to match !!!
What mines near the coast? Couple of mines down south but highly popular and therefore don't pay too well - the rest are all middle of nowhere
Now that IS a great idea. With her on the big coin, I can finally stop working and fullfil my life long dream of being the Captain of the Loveboat. Well, besides that. That was really dumb at the time, I must admit. I could have bought 2 more investment properties in Townsville at that time. They would have tripled in value by now like my 1st property I bought there in 2003. Townsville is still growing strong. I could have been rolling around in a 430 by now. But.............I DO NOT regret doing it for a minute. I love my 348 and was a good way to 'break' into Ferrari ownership. Yeah, ya bastard. I need your job!
