Were did they get the chassis from for this car another Bizzarrini or Iso? What will they call the Daytona? Can we really call it a Daytona if N/B didn't build it? But I have heard stories that the Daytona was never called "Daytona" by N/B, so maybe we can........if we want. What do you think PO?
I have heard this story too. There is another #315 which is a genuine car, no doubt about it. The Spyder is actually #315S, so that suffix distinguishes it from the Berlinettas. The British car has had a huge amount of money spent on it, both in the building and the track development. It has ended up as a very fast (and successful) racer, and is currently for sale at just under £400K. Readers should draw their own conclusions...
Nice P538 - looks beautiful! What chassis number does it have? Do you know how Giotto numbered these later cars. Is there a system? I'd love to know. Phil, your own quoted definitions of "replica" included "copy that is not the original". Surely Giotto makes copies of the cars he built in the 1960's? OK, I know there are differences, but there were differences between cars back then too. I maintain that they are "replicas in the best sense of the word". I don't mean the term replica in any derogatory sense at all. I would term the Sanction 4 DB4GT Zagatos built by Aston Martin as replicas, in the best sense, too. They were built by Aston Martin, but years after the originals, and don't command the value that the original 1960's cars do. Frazer-Nash built "Le Mans Replicas" that were replicas (read copies) of their Le Mans models. They weren't being derogatory about their own cars! Still, I know we'll probably never agree on this one, so we should call them "new-build Bizzarrinis" or "post 1970 Bizzarrinis" or "post 1980 Bizzarrinis", whatever. I'm fine with that. What I want to avoid is these cars being passed off some time in the future as period 1960's Bizzarrinis. let's celebrate them for what they are!
P538 vin is inside the book 400/001, I disagree with you with the terms "replica" but we cannot agree on everythings...lol I have no idea how Giotto numbered theses later cars, sorry, I just don t known. It s too easy to use a pseudo, I prefer real name. Me, Chris, and many others are not afraid to post under real names. I don t like anonymous on forum as people get more nasty. Back to the subject, where is your good photos with chassis number or real proven stories. Please no untrue rumours from the oncle of your sister cousin !
Veloce, you want the rest of the storie ? Easy ... show us the money, real name, interest, cars own etc...
Impossible that the car is bizzarrini 261, telaio 261 is still in Palermo with my uncle. I would be very susprise to see a twin 261 !

Everybody understand why Gerhard want to stay anonymous, it s because he own many replicas and in thr futur, who known what s going to happen ! Always a good reason to hyde behind the screen !
PO read carefully, you claim this is a 5300, 5300 what? We only want the truth, no stories, until then this is a hunk of steel and aluminun.
Harry, The rules state that members are to stay on topic. To me it sounds like you are attaking other members, ad somthing of value.
PO, You should stay on topic too, you post a great picture of a Daytona and then go off on a member who you don't even know the identity of. Get yourself under control and lets talk about cars.
I ll call my uncle and he confirm that he own 261, when i go to his house, i will take photos and copy papers.
Sir, I will no reply to any of your posts as I believe that you have some reasons to hyde your name, like your friend who own many replicas. Photo Air Milano. Ask your friend to show us photo of Air San Diego Image Unavailable, Please Login
