I think that is a non-air and roll-up window car. I believe Obrist couldn't register the car in Switzerland (drove it on dealer plates) because GTOs were not homologated for road use in Switzerland. But, I could be wrong.

Geez, I hope not. That's a lot of weight for just a couple of window lift motors and some a/c plumbing and electronics. I just picked up an extra GTO window lift motor I have and it feels like 2 lbs or so.

Just FYI, the mileage on some GTO's is not genuine. For example in cases the mileage needed to be "increased" to 7,500 to meet the California requirement for used cars at one point. Then at a later point those same cars' odometers were "zeroed"...

The good folks at RM in all their fair practice have let is know that the car coming up for auction on the 31st of this month in London bears mileage that is NOT actual. So you can surmise that it has more than the 1,100 km showing.

I figure AC compressor & condenser and all electronic ancillaries plus a pair of window-lift motors maybe 40lbs at most. If you want precision go for 39 lbs :)

Aah yes, you have to love the state-of-the-art transportation in the form of an open articulated timber truck complete with sooty exhaust blowing back onto the cars. The torqued sturdy rope-ties through the spokes of the wheels ensuring a blemished finish from the bouncing en route is just a nice touch.

I dont beleive this is the Mexico City concessionaire Ricardo Vega's car because his car is Mexican-registered "797-UAD" and it appears that this car has a different number.
Note the skinny space-saver spare tire on the driver-side front...

    Thanks for posting Jorge!

PS - Here are yet more GTOs registered in England. I think there are more there than anywhere else! 55717 and 54781.
