Lets not perpetuate the ill will.... we all have opinions about cars, certain people, life..... He didn't berate you personally or anyone else so lighten up
I'm in with the Range Rover. Just kidding... Oh, Jon-- please add Kevin with the Black/Black/Black/Black/Black/Black 996tt as well as David with the Amethyst 993tt Turbo (contingent upon agreeable weather). David with the Cobalt Cayman is tentative, so don't put him on the list. Thanks and see you Sat!
I know, believe me I'm not one to be mean or abrasive-- ask ANYONE who knows me here, but quite frankly that guy needs to be knocked down just a bit. Seriously, it's my last response to this issue in this thread.
john, i can't confirm i'm coming. i probably will go to OC. also, please don't insult me by implying i would buy a lowly 308. thanks.
i don't see why someone needs to be "knocked down" because he doesn't want to go on a large cruise with a bunch of grocery getters. makes sense to me. One reason i'm probably going to OC instead. i went on this run last year and liked it. i have the pics of mdshore, i thought it was pretty funny and def added another anecdote to the list. let's throw in all the other antics on the run if we are gonna be fair tony. side note for the newbies-tony and darren don't like each other. different strokes for different folks. not liking large groups of beemers and porches isn't elitist. just not his cup of tea this weekend. understandable. i think if we were all given the choice to go for a ride in an enzo or an m3, we would all make the same decision. i guess it's the degree of elitism. remember all beemer and porsche owners, you are on a ferrari site. you have to expect people here PREFER ferraris over non-exotics. as far as the s2000 goes, i wouldn't invite you either. but then again, the murcie and enzo guys don't invite me. understandable. ps. mdshore is alot like me, he says what others are thinking. not always the best policy, but we can't help ourselves. everyone have a great time and don't worry about who is or isn't coming.
Groups of this size with people in similar performing cars and driving skills makes the most sense. Hopefully several other groups will form before the event.
Just traded an Escalade with 26 inch rims and coilovers. I MAY have to take this and have a car party during the rally?!?!?! -Marc
What was I thinking???...Sorry, I had a weak moment. Thanks for getting me back on the right path. LOL ( But the M5 is much faster!)
Sorry, can't make this one, gotta work again!! Everyone have fun and be safe!! Remember having a Ferrari will never make you a better driver! Hope to see some of you the following weekend at the track with FOW. Robert
OK time will tell. I predict this thread will top 5000 views and 250 posts after the run.Largely due to people posting how much fun they had. This is not a speed contest nor is it a driving skill contest. I leave those kind of qualities for the track events I attend. Its a gathering of enthusiast who share a passion. What does that have to do with what you drive in the event? Jon (questioning but not too seriously whether he will do this again) in Delaware
Due to overwhelming requests I am officially announcing my plans to do this again in 2008. I am so easy!! Jon in Delaware
But does it have a tv and dvd player? Or better yet, some kind of video game system? If so then you can find me in the back seat playing driving games instead of driving a real car...why waste the gas? ;-)
HAHA! If that were the case, I would have to hire a driver! As funny as it sounds, it was "celebrity" owned too. It is a little over the top! And Mike, there is PLENTY of room! We are all planning on meeting at the usual Starbucks around 8:30ish. We will see you there. -Marc
Mike...thank god you agreed to join us. If one more person without a Ferrari was to join us we might have had a mass exodus due to the event no longer being considered an exotic car rally. Thankyou Thankyou. (if this post doesnt make sense to you go back a few posts to get the joke). PS there is always room for a car of your color!!! Jon
If I'm following everything correctly, the changes that occurred between Post #187 through Post #222 (at least the ones that I believe to be "real" or otherwise "definite") are noted and incorporated in this manufacturers' list: 13 - Ferrari (Dropped Wetpet and MDshore348 as withdrawals; deleted duplicate JoeZebra308 entry. Added Mike550M.) 12 - Porsche 10 - BMW 04 - Lotus 02 - Chevrolet 02 - Dodge 02 - Noble 02 - Subaru 01 - AM General (MabF355 finally declared his 'ride') 01 - Infiniti 01 - Mercedes (added NomadM3's friend) 01 - Honda motorcycle TOTAL....51 Jon, I usually wait for your update before I update my list, but I thought it was important to reflect the Ferrari changes ASAP.
oh jesus, now your letting in cars of color? I thought this was red cars only. another reason not to go.
