Wow, not bad! Just out of curiosity, how much fuel does such a boat consume? Do you 'count' it in liters/km(mile..whatever) or per hour?

At a cruising speed of about 24 knots (45km/hr), each engine would consume about 175 liters an hour.

I think you should cruise that up to Monaco, and we could host a little Forumal 1 function on board! I will bring the champagne!

I hope to one day join the ranks of Ferrari owners, but I started with my NSX 6 months ago (and will always own her). I'm the 3rd owner and she is all original, minus a Comptech exhaust.

Definitely, Matt.....that would be great. I plan to cruise the Mediterranean for about six weeks next summer. One of the stops could be Monaco if I send the boat early enough so we can catch the GP in May. It starts May 22nd. I will need to give it some thought and planning ;).

Nice boats Robert. You'll have to bring the Baja to Tahoe and join us for our daily cocktail cruises next summer.

Thanks Tarek. I like the water... You can legally speed all day long. The Baja 35 will do 90 mph at sea level.

90mph on water IS fast. I have a friend here in Egypt, he's also an F-Chatter (Intouch1), he wants to buy a Fountain 47 Lightning which also does around 90mph.

My boat has twin 800hp cats and uses about 50 gal/hr together. The generator is good for 3 or 4/hr.

    heck,

try about 120 in a 21 foot action with a modified 3.5 liter merc on the back. I am from the Florida Keys originally and guys would put 3.5 mercs on the backs of their actions with a jack plate, thumb button trim tab on the steering wheel, foot pedal throttle, and shortened lower unit with a high speed stainless cupped blade prop. Man we would tear across flats at 90 to 100 in like 12 inches of water eyes watering and holding on for dear life. There wasnt a marine patrol or coasty who could catch us.

whats amazing about going fast in a boat is that it feels SOOOOO much faster than you are really going.

One of the top driver's cars on the planet and so overlooked and underrated. I LOVE NSXs... they driver better than a LOT of cars out there costing many times more. Good choice!

Well, I don't own a Ferrari, but I do have "other toys!"

The Red 442 is the car I have been building for the last umpteen years. It's powered by a 454 Chevrolet big block, followed by a Richmond Gear 5-speed through a 3.00:1 Ford 9-inch rear. Tubular upper and lower front controll arms, Corvette C6 front brakes, rear discs, huge anti-sway bars, and Bilstien shocks. I've replaced all of the external sheet metal with NOS, and fabricated the bumpers (started with racing glass bumpers) and the rear spoiler. The interior is updated with Allente material with Teak inserts in the dash. The steeringwheel was supposed to be a 442 style wheel wrapped in leather, but the company that was going to do this went out of business. I'm thinking of going with a Nardi wood wheel now, to match the teak dash.

The Yellow "Mustang" is a 1989 ASC/McLaren. For those who may not know about them, ASC/McLarens started life as Mercury Capris or Ford Mustangs. ASC removed the tops, and angled the windshields an extra 20* over the factory Mustang unit. They also fabricated the hard convertible boot, and replaced the seats with leather. In 1989 they only produced 247 cars, and only 1 in yellow. =-)

The '56 Chevrolet BelAir is my fathers. We added a front frame from a '79 Firebird, a Corvette LT-4, and a 700R4 automatic. He calls it his "Old Man's Car" because of all of the power "options" we added. These include power windows, vent windows, locks, seat, and trunk release/pull-down. It also has A/C, cruise, tilt wheel, and a very nice stereo system. He drives the hell out of it, exactly why we built it!

Most of this probably doesn't compare to the other "toys" on this site, but we still have our share of fun with them!

    Shiny Side Up!
    Bill
