Even more rare than the 5300, the Europa was Bizzarrini's proposal to GM's request for a small sports car. The Opel GT won and only a handful of Europas were made. One story that few people know about is that 20-30 of these cars with no ID's were shipped to the US. This needs to e verified , but I belive Matt Jones of re originals had something to do with these cars. The cars were mainly body and frame, numerous people thought about putting them together in diffrent ways, but after 20 years still nothing happened, the cars ended up spread all over the US and still exsist today. I am not sure if any were ever fully completed. Your car could be one of these lost cars.
Are you guys are aware of this one: Philippe M. www.lamborghinimiura.com Image Unavailable, Please Login
Please be careful posting pictures that are obvious as to where they come from and who's copyright they are.
Hi there, It's obvious they come from here: http://www.classicdriver.com One from RM Auctions, another one from Fiskens... no mentions of copyright and I don't claim they are from me... I am just trying to inform members of this topic of what I found, I love this thread and these cars....so what's the problem? Philippe M. www.lamborghinimiura.com
No No, please dont get me wrong, i'm not moaning at you, just letting you know that the picture you posted is from Fiskens photographer and he is a bit touchy about copyrights
Don't forget Giotto Bizzarrini's first creature... At the Mille-Miglia in 1988. Image Unavailable, Please Login
It's Ok Paul, I get your point. Anyway, I feel that with this topic and with the market as it is now, anybody who has a Bizzarrini for sale just can only benefit $ from this. I think that prices will go up and up , like it did with the Miuras in the past couples of years. The 5300 Strada/America is truly a lovely masterpiece, maybe as much as the Miura. Not much to the story. A few years ago, I talked on the phone to a guy who mentioned that he had some Bizzarrini parts. This thread prompted me to dig out his e-mail address and take a chance and see if he would reply to questions concerning his Bizzarrini. As I posted, he apparently has a Europa. No serial number was given, but then I didn't ask. Apparently they are very rare.
You lie !. Who are the liar behind GTA246GT ? GTA = Alfa, 246 = Ferrari. Me, I receive a email from you yesterday and you told me that you was a woman and that because, I m good looking, you want to come with me and I say no...Upset that I refuse to go with you ?
Hi velocetwo. These photos were out of Mr. Panizza's photo collection. When we visited him to buy the P 538 version, he showed us these pictures hanging on the walls. The Daytona he is completing was red in these days.(see photo) When we (=3 people) bought this P 538, we were absolutely aware that this car is a replica. So what's the problem?! The picture in # 266 shows this car. Of course not in San Diego, but in the present owners large garage in Italy. The descripition in the Monaco? catalogue is the some as what we found in this car: rear suspension based on DeTomaso Pantera Group 4, front based on original Bizzarrini construction. The only Ferrari parts were the brakes. Someone claimed that the car was built in 2001/2. This description in the catalogue says 1983; interesting!! Giotto Bizzarrini made 6 P538 respectively P 578 between 1970 and 1984, all with similar features described before. A P 578-001 was auctioned this year in Monaco. The precise description of this car mentioned the same features as the Panizza one with the exception of the engine and the rims. Even if the car was built around 2000, who cares? We don't mind. Once the car is brought back to the original looks and configuration (with original parts we have plenty of) it will be driven on the street and purely enjoyed. That is the purpose of this car. A claim that this in an original one was never made anyhow. It might interest you what we found in one of these Bizzarrini books about a P 538 owned by a Mr. Olczyk. Let me know and we will send you the description. Next year there will be alltogether 5 books about Bizzarrini on the market. How many more do we need to finally get a correct one? One book was shown during the diner of the ISO/Bizzarrini Club this year. All !! owners of a Bizzarrini who were present found quite a few errors, mistakes and incorrect descripitions of their cars. Let's wait and see how many can be found in the next books.
Totally agree, and probably why you will always find a Muira close by..very iconic! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hey Vasco... maybe the same car here as your 2004 photo, but this was taken by me in '89 Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hi Paul! Quite possibly. In 2004 I wasnt thinking ahead of time. I should have gotten more info and pics, s/n's etc on a few cars now that I think of it. It was a very good show. It's amazing that the last 3 years on fchat I have grown to really appreciate such cars. If it were now i'd have the right answer for you regarding that car Surely you have some more great photo's to share Paul! Cheers,
Panizza has made more cars, mostly fake ones. He(=Panizza) told us(=4people=4witnesses) that he sold most of them to a dealer in the Holland/Belgium area. Next time we are visiting Mr. Panizza again we will ask him for the name. Then we will let you and all the others in the Ferrari Forum know.
Just because we don't like to be pestered with people like you. You pretend Gerhard owns many replicas. To prove it will be impossible for you. You introduced yourself to the Forum with insulting and inappropriate remarks, which do not earn you any credibility and trustworthiness. There is no reason at all to give any confidential informations about our cars and ourselves to someone behaving like this.
